*blush blush*
thankyou BM for your kind words
School run went of with just a few minor hiccups but surprisingly well..... Superman declared he was looking forward to running round the playground following the yellow and red lines again :rotfl: small things
Missy Hinge went off to year 6 with out even giving me a second glance, little madam
Today marks the start of our new grocery budget, we finished last month on £362/£350  although slightly over the budget it is still a huge reduction for us here in the House of Hinge, Last night I had a look through some bank statements and with shopping, meals out and take aways we spent between £650-800 a month in March, April and May  so a huge reduction for us.... helped greatly but Mr M vouchers and some Tesco club card ones. For September we are setting the bar at £450 as we have Master Hinge's birthday BBQ to host and no Mr M freebies!
Today I went to Aldi with my £5 of £40 spend (have another for next Thursday) and did a big fruit, veggies, tins, cereal and cupboard and cleaning bits with vouchers spent £48 :j Mr Hinge was surprised at how little we spent for how much we got  and although he dislikes the lay out of the shop and the mad rush at the check out he thinks we should go more often :rotfl::T:T I slowly have to plant these seeds and let them grow
So £48/£450 we stand today
meals look like:
Thursday Pizza with Hm wedges
Friday Gammon, new potatoes and veggies
Saturday we will eat out, picnic lunch then pub tea as we are having a day adventure for Master Hinge's birthday
Sunday huge BBQ and salad for 20 people
Monday peppered beef grill with wedges
Tuesday Spag bol
Wednesday chicken breast with piri piri new potatoes and salad
Hope everyone is ok, Stripes you have vanished in to lurk-kingdom hope everything is ok and The King is behaving!!

:jthey survived the school day :j..... and no trips to clinic :rotfl:
Missy Hinge is very sore and exhausted today, she is in her onesie and snuggled on the sofa with her tablet playing candy crush or something similar
Superman is delighted he has "big boy" books his new teacher gave him some today try and he actually tried to read to her rather then hide under the table!
I'm hoping he will read them to me after tea
Master Hinge is sulking as he doesn't go back until tomorrow, he has been a right pain in the a£$e!! Roll on tomorrow!! :rotfl:
busy day tomorrow once I am child free..... cleaning, tiding, washing, ironing and if the rain stays off some gardening ready for Sunday. Oh and then there is the cake!! Master Hinge wants nothing less then a fire engine cake! this may be interesting!Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

wow what an amazing and rather hectic day!!
For Master Hinge's birthday treat we went out to west midlands safari park..... Amazing!! we saw zebras, rhinos, lions, goats, wilder beasts, ostriches, tigers, camels and so much more! Master Hinge was very over whelmed and loved every minute of it!......... So much so we are going again in October holidays
We bought our tickets with tesco vouchers, 2 children, 1 infant (not 3 until monday) and 2 adult carers (free :j) which gave us entry today and a free return ticket to be used before November  Bargain!!
This evening has been chaos! I have been run ragged tidying and cleaning, decluttering and throwing, blowing up balloons, decorating cakes, hoovering, ironing you name it and I bet I've done it tonight  Remind me again what on earth possessed me to hold Master Hinge's birthday celebrations at the house of hinge?! oh yes, my new found frugal-ness and my poor sick pay related bank balance
So tomorrow I will have 25-ish adults and children to feed and entertain..... please keep everything crossed for sunshine or I sense my living room will resemble a can of sardines :rotfl:
The fire engine cake is complete, the presents are wrapped, the food is half bought (must send Mr Hinge out in the morning of cobs and drinks) and the house needs some finishing touches tomorrow. Ok so rather a lot of finishing touches but I have ran out of energy and think it is a tad too late to be hoovering and steam moppingthat's my excuse and I am sticking with it!
Yesterday Missy Hinge saw the heart specialist. He really seemed to have his nose out of joint and his y-fronts in a huge knot over this private specialist we saw :mad: but after some bickering he agreed to do the tests requested and a few more he thinks may be useful. Missy Hinge is not thrilled at the 48 hour heart monitor but at least it will be portable and not a over night stay.
Think I am going to turn in, likelihood I will toss and turn for several hours before finally drifting off just before Superman wakes updamn insomnia has a lot to answer for.
Mrs H....... who has found her PMA! must be the happy pills :rotfl:Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A

I hope you all had a lovely day, and the sun that shined here, shined for you.
Hugs for Miss Hinge I remember well, the frustrations of hospitals when you just want to get on with being you xAs a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or

:jwhat a fantastic day we have had
We have eaten far to much BBQ food, drank way too much fizzy pop and had huge chunks of cake...... it was delicious!!
Master Hinge has been spoilt rotten and I am feeling very very lucky to have such amazing friends and children. Mr Hinge is a smashing job with the BBQ and we worked well together getting the finishing touches done on the house this morning. Team work! A what a good team we made.Living in a superhero induced haze :A:A
