My brother received a call from the Windows company a few weeks ago, and after about 10 minutes of trying to fix our Windows computer, he told them that he has an Apple computer, to which the tech guy said "go to hell!!!!" and hung up.

Not so easy: most of these calls are international, so hidden number rejection doesn't work. You can refuse ALL international calls, but that's not a viable solution for many people.

had another one Monday but i was out, my mum took the call, when she picked up the phone and said hello, no one spoke, but she could hear THEM in the background and as soon as the indian bloke finally said hello, she put the phone down.
I've already phoned VirginMedia up about these calls as i've had enough of them, since they started last year, i must have had 1 every week, and what did they say, theres nothing we can do about it, its not illegal, my reply to that was so taking peoples money by infecting their computer and then not fixing it is not illegal, and then emptying that persons back account, i have to question how much your getting from these fakers.
they are using internet calling to phone landlines so we cant trace them. of course thats BS. they could stop it just like clicking your fingers.

I also used the Apple excuse (after telling him i could not see the "my computer" for 20 mins. He then went on to say had i not had sex the night before!! (gods honest truth)

I had the dubious pleasure of getting them to hang up on ME! Had a call when I was in a "funny" mood and had a chat about the system while I was "booting up" my pc, asked if it was a virus they could see and he confirmed it was, asked for details and he got rather reluctant, then I told him I was building one in my sand box and could he give me any tips. That was when the line went dead! I spent the rest of the day chuckling about it!

Annoyingly, I have not had any calls off them since.

I made out I was only a kid and needed to call Dad as it was his computer, came back after 5 minutes and told him Dad had said he was too busy to come as he was in bed with my Aunty Anne, he also hung up on me.
