The kids in front were fidgeting and looking at their phones at the beginning, but started to be a bit better when it got to the scarier bits. Mum waited until the Woman was appearing in the shadows, and then picked a perfect moment to lean in close to him and place her hand on the shoulder of the kid in front - when he stopped screaming she politely asked him to turn his phone off.
I think all teens should be banned from the cinema;) Would solve a huge amount of problems for the rest of us.:rotfl:
Went to a free screening last night of This means war (utter rubbish by the way, dont waste your money)
There was a family behind us with two boys. i would say one was 12 and the other 14. I really wanted to take them out by the end of the film.
Every 5 minutes or so they would laugh really loudly and inappropriately at some lame exchange between the main characters. How on earth though can you complain about people laughing even if it is utterly infuriating!0 -

People with annoying laughs should be banned as a rule, even if they do only laugh in the right places. It is so annoying to have some chump going "HURR HURRRRRR!!!! HUURRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!! ...ah hurr hurrrrrr" like a cross between an asthmatic hyena and constipated hippo, right down the back of your neck.0 -
The last 3 times we've been the the cinema, there's been hardly anyone in there.
12 people last month (saturday night too!), and twice last year where there was just me, daughter and hubby the 1st time and the 2nd time there was only 6 people in there.
The last time I went to the flicks and it was chocker was to watch Elf!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
I don't do the cinema - I don't even do television or DVDs.
If I want to watch a film I'll download it.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

we're going to watch the muppets tonight,- good old orange Wednesday:D
going to the latest showing , so hopefully most of the little tykes will be in bed:) Think i"ve just come to the conclusion that i'm a fully fledged Victor Meldrew, and lots of things irritate me, and i'd really like the cinema to myself:rotfl:0 -
It's not just cinemas either. Went to the theatre on Sat to see a show. People were still arriving 45 minutes after the act had started expecting people to get up from their seats to let them into theirs.
Then, 10 minutes into the show and literally every 10 minutes or so, people were getting up to go to the toilet- what's that all about? GO BEFORE!!!!
I also get fed off with people who, immediately the lights go down, get their bloody phones out and start recording. It is so distracting.0 -

I think I've seen everything now. Went to see the Muppets last night. A stupid women two rows in front of me, not only had her phone on during the performance, but proceeded to take photographs of her two kids watching the film,- i kid you not.
I tapped her none too gently on the shoulder and told her to turn it off,- which she did. Silly bint.0
