    Hello!

Sorry to bother you guys but I am lost with all the choices so hope some of you more up-to-date with techs can give me some suggestions.

  • On the same hunt as you as my Panasonic 28inch Quintrix just died and this is the best I have found up to now.

    Sony KDL-40S2510U £610.01 + £19.99del from www.digitaldirect.co.uk (less 3% quidco discount)

Sony KDL-40S2510U(silver trim) or 2530U(solid black case) £632 delivered www.121electricals.co.uk

same TV in Comet is about £723 online, £800 in store

    above prices don't include guarantee.

www.richersounds.co.uk offer a 5yr guarantee for 10% of purchase price of LCD TVs and www.johnlewis.co.uk include 5yr plus free delivery in their prices plus you can get an 8% discount on JL with quidco.

Thanks Monkeyspanner for sharing your thoughts.

I up'd my budget a little and went for the Toshiba 42X3030D from Currys while their discount codes were valid. Paid around £750 in the end but happy with the result.

It's strange to see the Quintrix died around the same time. I had mind since 1999 so 8/9 years of service but suddently just decided to not switch on (or switch off straight away). Heavy usage and moved it for 3-4 times too.

That's sounds like a good deal shykins - I want the 32" and I'm just waiting for a good price then I will be doing the same with JLP as I want a 5 year guarantee too!

I'm sorely tempted by a 37" now you've said it but I've only got a little house so I'm going to try to resist!

I was planning on jacking in my LCD in favour of Samsung's WS-32Z419. Seen one of these in action and it really does have a fantastic picture via HDMI with no lag or pixelation!
