I have been looking around for a while for a LCD "37" the above is available from John Lewis at £849, but I have checked through Kellko tonight and Empire Direct have it for £679.99.
Before I part with any cash could someone advise me on this television and if it is okay and also are Empire Direct okay I haven't used them before.
Thanks in advance.

Empire Direct is the best bet, you can add a 3yr warranty for only £20 and get £10 discount when paying with google checkout !
You could get JL to pricematch with Empire and get JL's 5year warranty included0 -

John Lewis don't pricematch internet prices (do they sell at the same price instore?? : there's not one near me!) but either way I'd recommend the OP to go for the £20/3yr warranty though as that could be worth its weight in gold!

This is a link to Which? (ok to post I hope?) giving details of the details on LCD/plasma TV's. The pro's and con's of these things are getting on my nerves and I think it's about time we had some facts as well as opinions.

If this is not ok to post, please delete it.The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0 -
Quidsinquentin, I think posting the links should be fine. Very well done, I would have thought this info would be in the subscription only section but there is enough info available via your links.Do you make things happen, watch things happen, or just wonder, what happened?0
