If you're after the £389.99 32" 1366x768 1080i set with 2 HDMI and 3yr warranty from ALDI stores, that's advertised as being available from Sunday 13th, you won't necessarily have to wait until Sunday 13th.

    TV details at:
    http://uk.aldi.com/sunday_special_buys/sunday_special_buys_pid_53127.html

In my local Aldi - Milton Keynes - there was a pallette of these 32" £389.99 TVs next to the checkouts TODAY with perhaps just one missing at midday Thursday 10th May - ie premature given that Sunday 13th is meant to be their sale day.

It MAY just be MY Aldi that has put them out early in breach of company policy, but suspect that as the last 40"+ didn't sell very well (they were still advertising it in papers earlier this week!) they are attempting to make sure this lot stand as much chance as possible of selling. Mind you my Aldi ALSO put out some Sunday Gardening stuff on the previous Thursday last month.

So if you do fancy it with its 3yr warranty it MAY be worth getting to your local Aldi BEFORE Sunday - and if in Milton Keynes, definitely TODAY+ !

Just got meself the absolutely gorgeous Philips 42pf5421 42" LCD from Currys for ~£600 using the 10% code and cashback via quidco!
It's not the best for SD, but with HD it really really shines. Absolutely stunning with the 360 and PS3.

This is another site reviewing LCD's/plasmas. bit more info to inform your choice.

The info is ok, but you should always be wary of basing a purchase solely on what it says on here.

The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.

    hey all,

whilst looking for a new HDTV, came across this place - some unknown makes but great prices, Hanspree 37" LCD HDTV with a 5 year warranty £459http://www.teleland.co.uk/item--Hannspree-37-LCD-HD-TV--HannspreeXV37.html, now i'm no expert but the specs are pretty damned good, good response time, good contrast ratio etc, comes with a 3 year manufacturers warranty and then the supplier warranty it for a further 2 years for free, you just have to return it to them at your cost in the last 2 years.

While you're there, check out the Samsung 40" LCD HDTV with intergrated freeview a great tv at a bargain price, again with a 5 year warranty! http://www.teleland.co.uk/item--Samsung-Sonoma-40-LCD-HD-TV--SamsungLE40S73BDX.html I was so impressed i bought that one!

NOTE: PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE NEXT DAY DELIVERY AT £39.50, even that is quite reasonable, some of the delivery prices i've seen are double that!

    Hi Guys

I'm looking into buying an lcd tv, 26" should be fine. Argos have a Bush one in their latest catalogue for £299 which looks quite good or there's the AOC 27" one mentioned on here. I don't really want to spend more than £300 but want to get the best I can for my money. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
