Morning all! I know, it's early for a Saturday but guess what, I've already made a bracelet, done the quiz and the post-it game for the baby shower later, and bought my travel insurance for SA! (£14.82, not bad for 10 days!)

Jewellery making is going to be my new thing, along with
trying to make cards and stuff. So far I'm better at the jewellery! The other thing I'm keen to try is mosaic, but I'm going to leave that for a bit and get this jewellery thing down. I think I'm picking it up well... :p

Only spend from this challenge yesterday was Starbucks for £2.55.

Not sure if it's the new tablets or the issues with sleeping I've got anyway, but I was Sooooooo tired yesterday, I just had no energy! And then only managed to go to bed just after midnight, definitely saw 1am this morning but don't remember anything after that, and now have been awake since just before 5am. Gah!

Spoke to my boss yesterday and my half days back at work will be afternoons. He said it's because knowing me I'd get stuck into something and the next thing I know be there all day :rotfl: I'm so predictable :o

Anywho, declaring a big fat red!

I'm off to make a coffee as clearly I won't bother going back to bed now and I'm not feeling sleepy (give it two hours!!!) - and then I will finish off the easter baskets I've been making for mum, dad and sis.

Have a lovely day all, may or may not do the new thread today - will see how many declare before I go out!

  • I'm purple this week as well! Not through good planning or anything, just through being too busy to even get out to anywhere to spend money.
I'll go for £10 again next week please.
Sorry I've not been on more - must try harder...

Am declaring a green but only with a little cheating. I bought a paper this morning, i bought it for a particular section and it was flippin missing, i had even checked and thought id seen it.

So went and bought another from a different shop but included it in my grocery budget.

    I am declaring green £18.98 / £20.

Will set £10 for the coming week. Not a lot on but am going into town on Thursday so need car parking. Should make it though, have got two late finishes at work this week. Am doing a very very very small grocery shop tomorrow so should get everything i need for the week.

Hello everyone. After a terrible week a couple of weeks ago, I am back to green this week although it was very close.

Declaring £9.90 out of £10 - still under. This was on two exercise classes, a drink with a friend and some fruit. WOO!! Am really pleased. Had a hair cut and colour this morning but that was budgeted for.

Have got £9.50 in my purse so that will do for this coming week. So PP or LC, please put me down for £9.50 budget for this coming
    week.
This is for an exercise class (2 if I buget well enough and a drink with a friend).Good luck everyone.

    Hi All...

    Am declaring a
    GREEN week!

Pledged £20.00. Spent £16.73. Made off Amazon £14.27.

    £2.54/£20.00

That said... Confession time... I had done a budget allowing £20.00 per week for groceries. I had a friend coming over and zero food in... went on a shop after work on Friday and saw there was an offer on in Morrisons - spend over £60 - get 15p off each litre of petrol... So I thought... I have 3 weeks left I will just get all my groceries... I was rushing and it ended up like a scene from Supermarket Sweep! Instead of spending £60.00 I spent £132!!! My trolley was overflowing!!! Not good!!! I did fill my car up and a petrol container and saved about £6.00... but that was a bit of a false economy!!! The food was mostly stuff I would have bought I guess... but where things were out of stock I just settled for a more expensive version - so bit of a fail there!!! Annoyed I have just blown my budget when I was doing so well!!! This food will now have to last me 2 months!!!

The lesson! Only go shopping when feeling in control and when I have time to do a careful shop. Do a list before hand and stick to it.

My pledge for next week is going to be £10.00

    Hi All

I am declaring green with £49.50 / £50 for the week. I haven't been on here much due to internet restrictions (we are nearly at our limit) but I have been keeping track on the app on my phone.

On a positive note we now have a working phone line and in just over a week we will have broadband back again.:j

Can I please go for £40 next week LC?

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.
