ok another question........has anyone had a relationship with someone they actually thought was quite ugly? I do realise how nasty and shallow that makes me sound sorry:o:o

Our relationship started from a date planned by a friend. We were engaged on 27th, Jan 2012, and we plan to get married around June this year.0

Is that ethical?
Her and her mate were staggering home after a late night out. It was silly o'clock in the morning and very cold (they weren't wearing much either!)
I stopped to ask if they were ok and it turns out they had a fair distance to go. I gave them a lift - just to ensure they got home safely, they are someone's daughter's at the end of the day!
On a night out myself a few weeks later, i bumped into her and that was the ice breaker that got us chatting.0 -
I'd been on a dating website for about a year, but had never met up with anyone from it, as no one seemed my "type" and I was also very nervous about meeting someone. I logged on intending to close my account as I had decided it was a waste of time, but then I saw a profile I hadn't seen before, and although I wasn't attracted to the guy from his photo, something about what he said in his profile struck a chord. So I sent him a message and gave him my email address.
For some reason, I couldn't stop thinking about him, I had even printed off his profile and I kept reading it over and over. A couple of weeks passed and he didn't reply. I felt really disappointed and kept checking my email. Then out of the blue I got a message from him on the dating website asking if I'd received his email, because he hadn't heard back from me. I checked my junk folder, and there it was - he had actually emailed me back straight away and it had been sitting there all that time!
We emailed and texted for a few days, then very unusually for me I said, let's just meet and see if we get on (this really was throwing caution to the wind, as I found dating terrifying!). We met in a pub, sat talking for about five hours (which felt like five minutes), and although I liked him I wasn't sure if I was physically attracted to him, his face didn't really do it for me! It turns out he didn't have a clue what I thought, as I was so nervous I apparently sat rigid in my chair the whole night barely making eye contact.
Anyway he walked me to my car, put his arms around me and kissed me, and I have been head over heels in love ever since that moment. I have tears in my eyes now just remembering how that kiss changed my life forever. We quickly became inseperable and he moved in after six months, even though this means he has a daily three hour commute to work. We were engaged within a year, my family all love him, and I simply cannot imagine being with anyone else, we are so compatible, have so much fun, and are so happy together.
Oh, and I now think he is the most gorgeous man alive! He grew a beard, which suits him so well, he is like a younger version of the better looking hairy biker (Si). Not that it matters, as I will love him until the day I die, however he looks.0 -
dh was my flatmates brother. we were having a halloween party and he came up for it, decided that his costume was too hot for him and changed into my bikini! we've been together for eight years and I couldnt be happier0

Met my wife on a online game about 10 years ago, although being so long ago she didn’t broadcast that she was female, because of the ‘omg a female on the internetz’ reactions that happened then,
therefore for about 6 months of chatting on IRC, mainly about the game but also films music etc etc i finally asked her if she was in fact a women as she had let a few things slip which had made me wonder but didn’t know for sure but she confirmed, and asked that I keep it quite because of the reactions she had had previously when people found out, anyways I didn’t say anything and she felt more comfortable, aided by the fact that she was 14 years age older than me so nothing was going to happened.
A couple of months later she said she was going to be coming up to visit someone she knew in Manchester (I lived in Salford at the time) and asked if I could recommend a couple of nice places to go pubs etc I suggested some places and also said it might be nice to meet up for a drink. Anyways she said yes and we met up (with her friend as well) had a nice chat but left it at that,
Anyways after that we carried on talking online but also on the phone as we did like each other but neither of us wanted a relationship and due to the age gap and the distance (more than 250 miles) plus her having 2 young kids from a previous marriage (well she was actually still officially married to him as they was having problems with the divorce) we didn’t pursue anything in that regard,
but one weekend all my mates where going to Amsterdam on a cheap holiday but my passport had ran out so I was moaning about it she said to me ‘why don’t you come down and visit me as the kids are at their dads’ and i just thought hey why not, jumped in my car on the Friday and drove down, after a few hiccups with her directions – she sent me in the wrong direction and boy was I pee’d off thinking I had drove all that way and she didn’t actually live there and was sending me on a wild goose chase gggrrrrrrrr.
I finally got to her house, we had a few drinks and much to our surprise one thing led to another and by the end of the weekend even I was walking funny...but didn’t expect anything else to happen, we carried on talking and met up when we could even though neither of us expected it to last and thought it would just be a fling and a bit of fun but just couldn’t help it and fell quite in love with each other, so 9 years later married 5 years and with a 3 ½ year old daughter I am still very much in love with herDrop a brand challenge

OH - met him in a nightclub in the september, appraoched him, was all over him but he wouldnt have none of it as he already had a gf (who he'd been going out with about a month) so i snogged his mate instead...fast forward to xmas eve that year 2003, he was single, i was single, i approached him AGAIN, i bought him 3 drinks (tight !!!! didnt buy me one) then at midnight i said "are you going to kiss me or what".....8 years later, a wedding in vegas, a house and a 2 year old, were till together and one of the happiest couples you will ever meet....:)0 -
I met OH at work in 2003, thought he was weird and didnt "fancy" him at first. We used to both get the bad shifts (sundays, late shifts etc) together and we got chatting and I realised I was looking forward to going to work just to see him but I didnt do anything about it, I was 17, he was 26.
Fast forward 2 months and he made a joke about me wanting him, got a massive red face and ran off, 3 days later he asked me out and the rest in history. Its our 8 year anniversary in May and I love him more now than I ever have, and for what it's worth I REALLY fancy him now lol :rotfl:Saving money like a trouper...0 -
I met my OH at a taster meeting of a university political society for freshers (he was already in the society). I do remember thinking he was cute but thought he'd have zero interest in me whatsoever because I'd spent my teenage years being the girl who always had male friends but who they never ever fancied. We sort of trundled on as friends for about six months until I noticed he was starting to always want to be paired with me on the delivery rounds and texting me individually etc, but I still didn't twig until a friend's party where we ended up kissing. That was almost five years ago and we moved in together last year."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
