I'm spectating for now, my finances are not looking great so this isn't viable for me at the moment, unless I can make something from nothing

Sorry to double post but just went off to look for double your money ideas and went to a site I use sometimes that may be of use to some people- you may have heard of it but thought Id share anyway. Its called baycrazy.com. It is an affilliate type site of eBay. You can type in your postcode and it will show you all items ending soon in your area, you can also refine by category, I look for items that are pick up only close to me that I can make profit on by posting it. The site can also show all items ending on ebay now, items with silly end times (so not many bidders and potential low final prices), also misspelled titles. Hope that helps someone :)

Great tip thanks for that Natterjack :D i will be having a nosey on that myself!

Re the buying more stuff - ummmmm guilty as charged your honour :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I already have loadsssssssss of stuff in the house but have no idea of costs etc and so i am selling it off but not including it in this challenge - thats why i started with £5 ;)

Welcome Bunnie :D and i hope you can get some ideas and inspiration from the thread!! Its hard to think of how to make something when you have nothing spare isn't it? But there are ways:

Have you thought about doing it with some of your shopping budget?? We all have to eat right......so why not take £5 of your shopping money and see if you can get £10 worth of food with it?? great way to get hunting out those bargains and make your money stretch that wee bit further :D

Or there are some sites you can get paid from for doing certain things - surveys, watching video clips, clicking adverts etc - i can recommend a few that are quite quick to pay out which could give you a few pounds to start the challenge with!

There are always ways and means if you are willing to do a little bit to get started!

    Take care

  • Im thinking it may be too difficult to use my buy to sell eBay business for this challenge (unless I get my head around the maths!) So may start low (so I don't bring too much charity shop stuff into the house!) with £5- just need to figure out what sells and will need to have a good eye for a bargain! Might go out with £5 and pick up a few things and put them on eBay with the intention to make profit (even if not double I can reinvest any profit I do make!) May start with brand name womens and childrens clothing like next etc. If I reinvest it through the month I could even make 10x my starting capital :D

Sorry for the rambling- my thinking out loud may help someone out there!

Now don't be blaming me for you buying more stuff lol!!! :rotfl::rotfl: you could always just start with one item you already have?? or £5 worth of your stock but track that stuff only for this challenge :D

Or does that ruin your plans to go a plundering :rotfl::rotfl:

I have a bit of a confession to make, i accidentally bought some more books today at the charity shop :rotfl: not very good considering i haven't even got my last ones listed yet :o

On the positive side though, i got 8 books for the princely sum of £2 and i have just checked the trade in prices online and can trade in 5 of them and get £2.75 :D

I think i will use this as my backup plan and will list them on ebay and amazon first to see if i can get a bit more - i will be listing the other £5 worth of things i bought last week as well so i now have a target of £14 to make as i have spent £7!

Well done Fairyclicks - sounds that you've got the right idea. Are you buying fiction or non fiction? How do you know what sells? Gosh it's such a steep learning curve this. Sorry for all the questions.
