With my £50 so far I have spent £6.16 on a dolls house and £16.68 on a three legged corner table, nursing chair and tea trolley. I plan to put them onto my first craft stall as "window dressing" but if any one wants them will sell. That won't be until a week tomorrow but in the meantime I have to make lots of craft products to sell on stall. Luckily I've got stashes of "raw ingredients" to make things just need some inspiration.

On the bingo front I've referred a friend and hopefully will make something from the £10 deposit that gives me.

I'm watching lots of items found through baycrazy - now its just a waiting game. Has anyone tried buying plug plants (eg the £100 plants for £15 on email this week) and then planting them up and selling them on at a bootie? I'm wondering whether this would be cost effective. I think there's 20 plants so therefore 75p each plus compost and plastic pot. I'm working on a double cost sale price so each plant would need to sell at £1.50. What do you think?

Oh sounds like baycrazy has been really good for you! I went on the other day and saw nothing worth buying for me but will keep checking in :D

What crafting do you do? i'm a crafter too :D i do most things really though haven't got into card making - at the minute i'm learning patchwork and loving it!

The plant idea sounds great - wouldn't have thought of doing that but now you mention it any booties/sales i've been at the plants sell well! Worth a pop i think, i would even think £2 a plant might be doable - you can always reduce then if people haggle :D

Am speculating on this and not really paying attention - BUT I did buy a G3 for a tenner and sold the keyboard and mouse for £11 after fees :) Also sold my replacement nano for £60 so that's good right?

I like most types of craft but again am not sure what sells so am making small quantities of anything that doesn't take too long. So far I've made knitted/crocheted flowers and hearts and table mats etc. I'm going to make dresses for little girls and boxes in a variety of different papers. I'll take a couple of primroses (if I can find them at a good enough price) to add spring colour to the table. Any suggestions about what else would sell and is easy to make.

I think it depends a lot on the sale you are going to katrss - its worth considering who is likely to be there. For example for school sales i always found jewellery like beaded bracelets for kids did well, for church sales teacosys were a good seller, for higher grade craft sales more unique things are good. If it is your first craft sale i would say aim for a good variety of things to test the market in your area - its amazing the difference it can make just were the sale is and how well established it is as well. Good luck with it :D

Oh good luck with that then :D

Are you keeping a record of what you are spending and making? From what you have said it seems you have spent £35 so if you want to try for it the target would be £70 from the bits you bought and your progress so far is £11/£70 :D

Do you want to include the nano sale in your calculations? or is that maybe your starting money?

Good idea to buy stuff from boots BTW - i would never have thought of that ;) hope you got points on it too!!

I have decided i would like to work on doubling my money in my zopa account now as well as doing some buying/selling etc.

I have had the account for a while and currently have just over £500 in it (£511.58 to be exact) and would love to be able to double this to £1000 (i like round figures so not adding the odds and it gives me a wee head start on my target too lol).

Its going to be a longer term goal but would love to aim for the end of April if i can possibly make that - i figure if i add any ebay/amazon sales profits i make to the account as well as car boot sales if i make it to any then it just might be doable  and hopefully this will keep me working away at ebaying as i have so much stuff in the house to get rid of and find ebaying to be rather annoying a lot of the time :rotfl: this just might keep me at it though :D

I do have some stuff on ebay/amazon already so if any of that sells i'll be adding it to zopa account from now on! I'll be adding any interest on the account into the challenge as well.

Oh excited about this now, have wanted to try and get £1000 in account for a while but just not had the money to do it! Watch out ebay, fairy on a mission coming your way :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Brill Idea Fairy. I think that is what i will do.
All the other things you mentioned to me earlier are more or less what I do anyway but my Zopa is something different.
I have about £318 in mine so I will aim to double it to £600 by the end of May.
