When I was a wee lad I remember falling onto a cowpat. Neither me nor my mother were much impressed with the result :D

maybe they should have charge him so much per hour for the hire of cow pats:rotfl::rotfl:

all joking aside, we can laugh at the situation, but it must have been freightening in the end for the family...especially if it was going on for 6 years:eek::eek:

My DH, as an early teen, took a shortcut through a farmyard once... yup you guessed it, up to his neck in a slurry pit! One of the bus drivers that knew him from the school run took pity on him and let him stand in the doorway on the way home so he didn't have to walk 5 miles - he kept the doors open though! And when he got home his father had to hose him down outside. For hours. Funny thing is, DH had a crick in his neck before he fell in the slurry, and once he got out again it went again, but while he was fully in the sh*te his neck was perfectly fine :rotfl:

The healing powers of cow muck... who knew??

Another glorious morning, and at last I could hear some insects in the orchard....:)

Mixed day yesterday, with work lightened by visits to the Flower Festival and a walk around the village to look at the scarecrows:

Hope the links work. I've gone back to Flickr and my old camera, until the new one arrives. Openreach are paying for that!:rotfl:

    Great photos Dave.

Re insects, although the winter was long we didnt really get those false springs to encourage early flowering and emergence. This is almost like the springs from many years back, when the scouts would deliver bedding plants at the start of june to avoid the frosts!

Worryingly, DW has had a recall and has a morning of follow up checks next week. Fingers very much crossed :(

Sorry to hear about your wife Rhiwfield, I hope that are just taking extra precautions and that it is nothing to be concerned about.
