    Miserable here & wet.

Some things are enjoying it, though. The toads are, obviously, making up for lost time. They usually start spawning here in February. The place is heaving with them (Look too closely & I'd be heaving, too _pale_ the water is literally bubbling like a witches cauldron with them). There are literally dozens in & around the ponds & loads more en route to & from.

Looks like Friday is the earliest possibility for a completely dry day here.

Tomorrow looks pretty dry here, and with the winds we're having, the weather has to pass us to get to you......:)

    Thursday looks dryish too.

Not much work today, but potted-on my toms & did some last minute pruning. :o

The weather would get to you first if it was blowing northerly, Dave. Most of the rubbish we get comes straight off the Atlantic (S'Westerlies).
There's nothing west of us except water until Newfoundland & only a small corner of land to the SW. :(

Managed to get 2 sheds tidied and the rest of the logs split/chainsawed. need to sort out the old wellies (I keep them and use them as planters for trailing Lobelia) take out the old compost and put in new stuff. Now we've tidied the shed managed to get the kids bikes under cover.

Off to Skye on Friday to help with the lambing. Not looking forward to the drive.

The wind here is wild atm and all our bins and some pots have been knocked over

Today I have mainly been tied up doing paperwork which is frighteningly dull and boring. The house is slowly looking tidier but the garden still looks wild. I have brought some seed trays into the house to pot up in the evenings this week and I will put them out in the greenhouse when they are done.

I just need to keep thinking, little steps!

May not be around much this week as we're off to see new grandson! May have wireless internet access at the B&B we'll have to see when we get there. Good luck to you all with your planting and plotting! :)

Alfie, hope your Dad is improving.

Ah, the vagaries of local microclimates. The wind was pretty much going north of us here, but I forgot the maritime influence would probably have as much, or more effect.

I never really wanted to be on the coast. Now I want to be there even less. If I could choose, my preference would be for the weather they have around Taunton, which often seems better than that where we've come from, or where we're going!

Snakes Head fritillaries growing atm in the Old Hall Gardens in Cowbridge, but the walled physic garden (glorious in the summer and early autumn) is not as advanced as I would expect, the weather still delaying growth. Just seen a butterfly though still not many insects about.

GD with us this morning as she's got a viral illness and not fit for school. We made up some lined toilet roll inners for starting off tender plants :)

Spent yesterday organising our store area, segregating it from the living area to make two better spaces. Time well spent.

CTC, well done on your sales, we've gone quiet after a busy spell. Can you pm me your email pls, I need to send you something.
