Yes, she checked him over & he's fine. He's almost the same age.
We're OK thanks. Can't get him taken away until tomorrow so have had to cover against predators as best as we can. He's in an awkward place, unfortunately.

How long had you had him? how old is the one left?

We inherited him (aged 2) when we moved here. The other (the mini stallion) we bought a couple of years later but he was older when we bought him.

Sad news Itsme, but at least the old guy went quickly.

I suppose you may have had some inkling. Mind you, we have a Thoroughbred of similar age next door who's been "going anytime" for the past two years or more.

As CTC says, it's hard to say goodbye to members of our non-human family, whatever age they are.
