Dave, so the carp idea was really carp :(

Firstly, comiserations over the headache & house arrest, but although it might be dry & even sunny out there, the wind is enough to give anyone with unprotected ears serious grief. :(

Carp. I saw therse discounted in Barnstaple Sainsburys at Christmas. Perhaps there is a local population that eats them. Polish? No idea, but I'm sure they could be a fish of the future. After all, the monks used to farm them and the non-koi kind aren't that fussy about their habitat. :)

Right, I've had my panto dress fitted, so I'm off to do something for an hour or two, though what, I'm not sure.....

Yes, sunny with a ferociously cold wind so far today.
I've been outside :j I had to pick my way between running streams where they aren't meant to be (same as you Dave. Too much coming in for the outflow to cope) but not as bad as a few weeks ago - fingers crossed as there's more to come. :(

So I spent a short while ferrying buckets of frog spawn from the areas which should dry up & emptying them into the ponds. Not that the ponds are short of spawn. They're positively amphibian Kama Sutras at the moment :rotfl: From time to time we get odd coloured frogs. Today I was watching a bright orange female one. Not much chance of hiding from the horny hordes when you're that colour

Hope the infection clears soon, rhiw.
Somehow I don't think you'll be housebound watching too much glorious weather. However, the forecast looks better than for the last month, anyway.
  • funny enough rhiwie, I was going to post about the bad headache I have had for the last 2 days...

Just cant shift it, and it is VERY painfull...

    Prob stress related...

Its so painfull I cant concentrate long enough to do anything...

Hope al the headaches clear soon.

I get one when it's going to thunder - pressure thing.

Wind is ridiculously strong still - horrid day with curtains of sleet & rain.

I'm going back to bed as I didn't get much sleep last night!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Speaking as someone with a broken brain, please please take long term headaches seriously and get checked out, do not just put it down to stress without seeking help, of only so it's o. The record when you know you need more help iyswim.

Back from half day holiday, dh strimming. Cold wind, showers and dry spells. This morning there was a double rainbow, we saw the 'end' of it too. Wished I was a photographer to capture it.

For me it's the low pressure, too, choille. It's like something heavy sitting on your head. Pushes your head down, shoulders come up which gives a tense neck & rotten headache. I've been (& will continue to be) on the settee until the pressure rises taking the winds down with it.
Bunch of old crocks, aren't we? :rotfl:

No! :p I went hedging, 'cos it wasn't so windy down at the bottom. :D

Now, after wobbling about on top of the hedge, wading in the stream and fighting with thorn bushes, I am totally crocked.

    But it's rehearsals tonight......

Snooze now or learn my lines? Snooze now or....zzzzzzz

So will make a final decision on the show over the weekend...
