It's probably going to rain & blow most of the night, clearing around 5-6a.m. in these parts. Your call!
Anyway, sounds like you have plenty to think about and plan for! Well done.
'Twas a pretty good day here, which I mostly spent laying the bottom hedge. Yes, I know, I've been doing that for a while now, but it isn't the easiest job. Sometimes I think, "Oh I could just cut 'em all off square at 2 feet!"But I keep going because I want to do it properly....well, most of it. There are some parts that may be too sparse to lay well.
Whatever I do, I'm now really flush for pea sticks! :rotfl:0 -
evening peeps
well my day started with a bang !!..........
well a bang on the door...:D
i intended to have a lie in this morning, so set up mabels nosh so she could feed herself...
i was snuggled up in bed when there was a knocking on the door, struggling out in my santa red dressing gown, i was met by a lady who informed me that "your pig is in the ditch, and it doesnt look good"...well, call me pessemistic,[she thought she'd been hit by a car] but i chucked on some clothes and legged it round the corner....to be met by a group of concerned "walkers" grouped around the ditch...:o
i then mooched over and said "come on mabe"... and up she shot !!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
she had decided that ,that spot had SUN and was sunbathing !!
it was about 50m from her paddock...
the "Walkers" nearly pooped themselves when she shot up tho.:D and "walked" at a rapid pace in the opposite direction...:rotfl::rotfl:
mabel just strolled back to her house much to the amusement of waiting cars !!
we are getting a reputation...:rotfl:
i have to try another method of fencing...:o :rotfl:0 -
Alfie..what is she like:rotfl::rotfl:
Looks as though you are right davesnave.. rain has started.. quite heavy too, so cant be bothered to hitch up and sort out the caravan now.. so hubby has just gone out to try and find the local supermarket etc to get new supplies of beer:D:D.
so will leave early in the morning..
There is a model train thing here tomorrow, and where we are pitched is part of their car park, so if we dont leave early we will be blocked in all day:eek::rotfl:
The events boys are now setting up the place for tomorrow..I should imagine they will be working most of the night.Work to live= not live to work0 -
It's such great news the fair went well ctc. This seems a fantastic continued journey in this direction for you!
Yesterday the lawnmower got its first go since repair, And, hmmm, The drive belt hopped of four times. We will call the repair peope tomorrow, the work is all under warranty.
On the plus side, I managed to do the worst of the back garden (it was getting hard to keep clean after the dogs ) and the front garden, so we look a little neater too.
Dh did a lot of strimming in the little paddock we rarely use near the veg garden. Tracks confirmed the cover there and round the Cake are where Renard is hanging around so we need to make it less appealing for him or her.
We thought today was meant to be grim weather so planned painting inside today, but it's pretty out, leaving us a quandry. We may do half and half I think. Tomorrow is definitely a painting day as far as I am concerned and being outside would be 'healthy'. Now I am committed to spraying some areas this year and there is already thaty bright green new nettle growth peeking up I am hoping for some dry days in a few weeks.0 -

ctc....i hope you didnt become land locked in the car park
glad you did well enough to do more shows...
better to sell out and gain knowledge than go home despondant by selling nowt !!
mabel behaved herself today...;)
it is cold but sort of sunny here, so im going to attempt to reinforce mabe's fence ...hahaha
my verandah is now all tidy, my shed is tidy ,my garden is sort of, just gotta tackle the BIG shed ...which sends me off to put the kettle on for a CTC cuppa thought session..:rotfl:
i have had an offer to maybe move to a house owned by a friend [LIR]well its not owned yet.... i love where i live but i have to be practical in the long term.....
does anyone know electrics ??? this electrician estate has sent is going to put a fuse box in the brick passage way by the generator.
imagine two brick sheds joined in middle by a roofed passage way, open both ends...this is where i have genny.
ive been told that this is not ideal as a fuse box suffers if damp... i asked if it could be put inside back door which is maybe 4/5m cable and was told NO. expense ???
i do not want to be in and out if it keeps tripping...
but maybe its ok ..does anyone know ??
have a good day y'all........0 -
Alfie, my parents old fuse BO was outside under a covered area and it was ok. It tripped a bit, but no more than it did when they had it moved in doors!0

 reassures me0 -
My trip box in the old greenhouse never tripped once in 20 years!:)0

We don't have a trip. Our power just comes back on automatically.
Electricity & damp are never good bedfellows, alfie, but if it's properly installed & housed I would guess you should be OK.
Well done for the craft fair, CTC. :j:T:beer:
We had the odd flash of lightning & clap of thunder overnight. One roll was almost enough to make the inhabitants of the churchyard sit up & take notice :rotfl:
This morning it's back to large puddles & water running down the lane & a lot more wet to come if the forecasts are correct. At the moment it's sunny but we have had a brief hailstorm.
It's one of those days when you can watch the changes in weather sweeping in. It's like someone working a huge dimmer switch0
