Sharply cold here, colder than it has been recently.

Warmer here now. Although it was freezing last night, the thermometer has been climbing steadily since well before dawn. :)
    Rain next...:(
    And wind....

    choille that wood sounds fab!!!!

didnt get much sleep last night... lumpy caravan bed, and now fretting back lack of stock...

Hubby been feeling sick all night, not much better this morning....

but at least we dont have to stock up this morning, so can have an extra lie in:rotfl::rotfl:

    Very windy last night...

Rhiwie hope you viewing day goes ok down in Andrew's and if you could keep an eye on the things we put bids on... would be really grateful..

    Will do CTC :)

BTW the cup box is slowly filling and I listed the stole but no interest so far :(

With road conditions improving here why have they closed the A48 due to ice, did the gritters have a night off ?

Have used the snow shovel so much recently it finally broke, but we managed to ship out all sales and get most delivered, in contrast to Royal Mail who seem to have hibernated here during the snow.

The snow has slid down the solar panels and is now hanging on the edge of the roof, waiting to catch us off guard

And the winter tyres feel much grippier in the cold and wet, probably a wise investment.

Anyone else think that this conversion has absolutely zero appeal? Shobrooke Park was where we intended to have the walk yesterday, and it's a lovely area, but this place doesn't attract me at all:

    I've been Money Tipped!
    I agree dave.

Shame. ...but the lack of privacy would be too much a compromise for me.

Hi Dave - it's been sterilised as should the person who designed it.

Yes, I think it would be a while before one could make it private at the back. Never would be at the front. :(

As for the design, well, it would be useful to have a plan of the layout! It seems the developers have cut a few corners on the finish of the bits we can see. It's been reduced already after about a month, so someone needs shot of it fast.

I suppose as a work/home unit it isn't bad value for around [STRIKE]here[/STRIKE] there.

Good job I don't like it. Being that near the chippie would be dangerous....:o

If the developers have cut corners on the visible bits then chances are the bits you can't see are scimped.

Well we got woken up with a delivery of wood that's come out of a gut job on a nearby house. It was a traditional croft house that has a byre attached, a London banker has bought it for fabulous over the top money & it's being totally gutted back to the stone. It will be a holiday home, but can't complain about the fire wood. Builder also suggested he could pick up this oak wood - that was going to be a major head ache.
Sometimes things come together. Not often......but sometimes they do.....thankfully.

Trying to thaw here but every now & then a few flakes are still falling. If it's snowing properly on top it will be blizzard whit=outs because it's blowing a gale.
I think most roads are OK or, at least, passable but the good old A39 has been filling up quicker than they could clear it & remains closed in places
