Our ring main tripped several times last night as a thunderstorm went overhead.

Just been looking at the garden as it emerges from the snow and enjoying a bit of warmth from the sun while it lasts. Lots of weed seedlings shooting up where I planted the narcissi, creeping buttercup in the privet hedge, the asparagus beds need weeding as well.

So came back in for a cuppa and a biscuit and prayed for rain :D

Edit. And it worked, extra large hailstones and another thunderstorm!
  • Hi All...

Well back home, and was so glad we waited until this morning

Alfie have you got to pay for the fuse box? Or is it the landlord?

If its the landlord, then do whatever the electrician recommends, so then if anything goes wrong, just keep on to the landlord..

Potential new place sounds interesting. Even you love your place Alfie.. it might be for the best. But only you know if it would hinder your friendship with your friend being a friend AND landlord/lady

Anyway cam back to yes you guessed it.. a sink full of dishes, no bins taken out... cats are having a poot, because we have been away:rotfl: and the fire was out:mad::mad:

    Think I need ANOTHER cuppa

I need a new trading name for the craft side of the business ( going to have it as a stand alone business so no vat;)

If anyone has a good name ideas can you pm me with them, please,:D
Work to live= not live to work

sleeping with my eyes open at mo:rotfl:

cats are slowly coming round, and slowly aknowledging us...

    Sleep....ypu probably need it.

We have been painting the study today.

We need to find out how much a wooden floor to match the old floor boards is going to cost for in there and also how much made to measure book shelves are going to cost.

    where is everyone????:o:D...

Out! It was another nice day, though a bit windy.....until around 3pm when it started raining really hard. We had two very
bright rainbows side by side. cool-smiley-026.gif

Then, having retreated into the poly, there was an ominous "Ping!" followed by about 3 million more, as hailstones the size of big raisins pounded down. It was deafening, but no way was I leaving there!

Finally, it stopped, like someone had thrown a switch, and the sun was back again, briefly. :)

In between being fitted for my costume I've done a bit more hedging and Pete has been up four times to take his sheep back home. He tells me the river that isn't on a web cam overtopped its banks again last night, but looking at the Taw, I think the area might escape more flooding for now.

CTC why not call your business something with the name of the lane at the ranch in it? It's a pretty enough name. Failing that, do what we did and make sure the name begins with "A."
That way, if there is an event with the names of businesses listed in the publicity, you're always at the beginning! :D

Well, maybe, but it needs to be relevant.

Thinking of CTC's nylon knickers, I came up with: Aaron A G-string.

But I don't think that's the market she really wants to develop! ;)
