They aren't likely to run amok, but it's the exchanging that might be the problem....People ask questions if you wander into a bank with lots of 30year old money! :rotfl:

    You'll have useful friends, I know. :)

By the way, was there a funny smell down your way today, or were you too far west? The report says it reached Ringwood._pale_

I know hubby got smelly farts, but I didn't realise they were that bad:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl:

Having a stinker of a night, long story, but basically the central heating pipes in the caravan had burst/coroded carpets soaking:eek::eek::o:o

so hubby managed to take some pipes off the old van and fix it, so now heating is on in the caravan, to try and dry it out.

THEN... the shower broke while I was rinisng the hair dye out of my hair,:eek::eek:

And I have only just put my clothes in the wash ..Plus I cant find my thick tights

I suppose it's my age, but many friends and relatives seem to be struggling with finding or paying for care homes ATM. However, last week, I was told in confidence of a really interesting moral dilemma in relation to this.....

    :)
Dave, I saw the rest of this post but have snipped it here.

It seems incredibly unfair. I wouldn't be giving any extra money than I had to to the state. I understand there has to be some contribution to people's old age but i was fairly incensed at the talk of the amount that was recomended that the contribution be capped at be more than the £35000 that was originally recommended by the review panel. All very well if you live in the wealthy areas of the UK but when my grandma's house was sold, she only got £40,000. That's what unmodernised terraced houses go for in my gran's part of the world.

There's no doubt in our family that we will care for the olds when the time comes so long as we are able. We are of the "sandwich generation": I'm caring for my young kids, by the time they reach their teens and my mum is in her late 80s, I'd be very surprised if I'm not caring for kids and parents, and possibly my in laws too.

Freezing here & still wind that would cut you in two, but no snow.

Hope you feel better soon Alex.

Dave _ have to say I agree with take the money & run - you wouldn't believe what happened to my Parent's life savings once my brothers got Power Of Attorney.

Still getting some eggs which is great. Far too cold to get on with the build , so been ebaying as really not getting any work in so mega skint.

All you researchers - What would a red tailed jacket be for - Toast master, fox hunt dinner? I've come across one in really good condition & think I'd like to list it but don't know how to describe it really.

    Any suggestions?
