Alex, no chance of getting the carpet person back to cut a piece in? I know it depends where it is, but if the paint is in a less obvious spot...

If it was near the edge I'd say yes, but it isn't :( It's somewhere very obvious, sadly. Son offered to patch it himself but it'll still be very noticeable.

Welcome to Molly  I stayed in Irvine for a while so know North Ayrshire quite well.
    ;)

Irvine is a surname within our family. :D

Sadly, I've never been there. My folks were from Perth. :(

Dave , snow came in our storage barn too. :(. Not sure yet what will have been damaged.
  • snow has stopped now, its not as bad as I thought it would be, main roads are clear, but with a bit of slush here and there, some of the side roads are a bit iffy.

just come back from the ranch.

so here is a pic of the lane going to our ranch, and piggy( which looks really dirty and grubby compared to the snow)

The sad thing about the snow is how grubby it makes every thing look. The cake looks yuck, and our cream front door looks like a white front door that smokes heavily.

Alfie & liR someone has posted a horse on my Facebook page that needs a home. He's a 14 year old ex racer and will be shot in 2 weeks if no one has him. I know nothing about horses but if you would like to see them pm me and I can add you to my friend list. I feel heart broken by it :(

I'm sorry. We have an ex racer here who was destined for meat already and. We are offered them regularly. It's gutting, no better that the greyhound situation, that the animal sports with most money leave their 'spent' animals abandoned so. As a 'he' his worth is minimal and it really has reached the point that they cannot all be given away. :(.

I hope this chap finds a home.....maybe ask the person offering if they have tried the few ex racer charities out there? Google will bring up a decent list but my guess is they might be bursting at the seams.

Granddaughters, DD1 & Hubby flew out to Florida for a holiday on Thursday morning with impeccable timing, just beating the weather front.

So we were surprised to get a call from DD1 this morning, very excited as Hubby had just been awarded an Oriental holiday for two plus some other major rewards. So it looks like we'll be babysitting for a week or so soon!

In contrast we're looking out over a winter wonderland, snow still falling, but at least the chooks have emerged for food and water.
