Fox came yesterday. So they who are left are locked in With treats like apples (back to that welfare discussion you see). my cats have stayed in bed, their bodies under the duvet their little heads on a pillow, side by side. So they think it's grim.
The birds are taking seed from the feeders as fast as I can put it out.0 -

were you going to Andrew's?
Just told um in work, dont be silly, and put themselves at risk trying to get into work in the morning. ( if it is that bad), and even if they do get in, we might not send the vans out, due to conditions in other areas.
We are lucky we can get advance weather notices due to technology etc, but not so long back peeps would have to go on gut instinct and watch the clouds/nature etc.
AND to top it all the forum is down tonight at 11.59pm:mad::mad::mad: so we cant even compare ssnow reports, or even have on-line snowball fights:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -
At the moment I think the red warning is for the Head of the Valleys, Black & Brecon Mountains.
Most of the rest is currently amber - bad enough.
SW Trains have already said they will run a revised service which includes some routes not getting trains at all.

It's been pretty windy all day but that's due to pick up, too, so looks like blizzards across the open ground
Hopefully we'll have no reason to venture out (fingers crossed).
If it starts before I go to bed (on the settee again) I'll let you know but it seems to be with Wales & the West Country before it moves west into Devon & east across the country.0 -
It doesn't' look as though we are likely to get any snow in the north west of the country (fingers crossed) but there was a dusting over the Carmarthenshire hills today as we drove down there.0

I was, and then on to Carmarthen, but wont now unless forecast is totally wrong.
Its just not worth risking life and limb for a few squid.0 -
Here, it's warmer now than it was at 6am this morning, but the sheep have gathered under the top hedge, which is a bad sign.
It's no problem anyway. I'm doing our tax on-line soon (if we ever reconcile the figures and various bits of paper!:o) and DW is making my costume, so beyond feeding the beasts and fetching logs...
Err, hang on, we're supposed to be having an emergency delivery of softwood this weekend! I do have some stuff in reserve though.0
