"Turn right at Stonehenge"
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I used to be able to give really cool ones from London.....get on a303 then, eventually, turn right, then left......you are there....simple.
I like turn right at stonehenge.. I have also been known to send people coming from the north a detour so they come through the Avebury ring. (I love avebury, probably more than the henge...it has an amazing feel with the village around it and still being able to get to the stones,). If I can get up and ride properly again on the kind of horse I want I would love to ride in the ring at dawn, it would feel like a prayer of the best sort.

It's milder here.
Fox came yesterday. So they who are left are locked in With treats like apples (back to that welfare discussion you see). my cats have stayed in bed, their bodies under the duvet their little heads on a pillow, side by side. So they think it's grim.
The birds are taking seed from the feeders as fast as I can put it out.0 -
Snowing but not laying here although I can see patches on the hills inland. It's probably laying properly on the tops.
We're expecting the worst through this evening/overnight. Then it will all depend on where the division between rain & snow comes whether it washes away completely or not.
They're bring the sheep in-bye around here. Certain sign they think the weather may turn worse,
I agree with LIR on the chicken house, rozee. Warmer in winter, cooler in summer but dry under claw all year if poss.
Sorry to hear about the fox. Daylight rogue job?0 -
Yeah, exactly that type itsme.
It's a horrid time of year for them though.
It reminds us we have to keep working on removing the cover for them around the Cake.0 -

Oh noso sorry to hear that. I don't see mine at all at the moment except weekends, because they get let out after I've gone to work and are in bed before I come home. Younger son didn't shut them up last night, I'm glad I checked halfway through the evening! We've lost our fair share, the worse one was one night we were unexpectedly away from home with no-one to shut the house. We lost five, two were carried off and never found and the other three were just left slaughtered in the garden. Where we are, if we removed the foxes we have others would move in because it's easy pickings in suburbia.

LIR - Really sorry about the fox visit. It's a sickener.
We have the most beautiful day, but it is raw. Just snow on the tops..ice everywhere though. I couldn't sleep last night, felt lucidly wide awake so I'm cruising. But must go feed sheep as they will need a bite.0 -
Alex - You're doing Salisbury plain during snowy weather? Make sure you have the usual 'emergency' cold weather stuff with you.0
