Hehe. Me too. The dreaming is a lot easier than the real thing but I've kept my eye open for what else is up for sale in the locations we like and there's been nothing in the year since we bought this place that we'd rather have bought. Even in a higher price bracket, which is gratifying....
I think it's proved the maxim Location, Location, Location :) It might not be the perfect house, but it's the best location for us and we love the combination of the land, wood etc
  • Alex... I can see why you like it, basically a blank canvass for you, have been to have a 'viewing':D:D:D

I found when i was looking ( nosing:p) properties would look lovely online, and I would go off on one daydreaming, but when I actually went to see the property, they didnt 'feel' right..

I can see the rows of carrots and potatoes growing in the front lawn:rotfl::rotfl:

:whistle:Err..... Alex, I would love a link too please, when you have time. :D

You lot have been very busy here today. We had self-invited visitors, who were nice to see, but there's a lot to do now after the Christmas/New Year lull.......

All I did was begin to sort out Pete's logs, 2/3 of which won't be any use this winter. Since re-roofing one of the small barns we've been stacking-up logs in there. In they went. It's not Pete's fault the logs are so wet, as he has no large areas of dry storage.

We're also nearly out of softwood. The last delivery was in November, when I thought we had loads.....The supplier is getting onto it dreckly. :(_pale_

Wood almost seems to melt through winter.

It's like burning money...as if it grows on trees.....

Back to the grindstone for me tomorrow, I only got paid today and it's already all gone...
