Thanks! That's in here, what we call the breakfast room - and bear in mind it's taken nearly 9 years to get to this stage!! It does take time, but if you rush it you might have to do it all again.

We had the roofers in yesterday, to replace a load of flashing and to flaunch the top of the rear part of the roof. Some of the tiles had been cut in half when they were fitted, and the wrong halves used so the rain's been coming in through the screw holes... idiots. All fixed now though, we hope. It's just got to dry out. Cost a pretty penny, but these things do. And my knitting machines are listing tonight on ebay <sigh> because 1) I need the money and 2) DH has promised I can replace them once we've moved. It's the hassle of storing and moving them that we can do without, and with work the way it is I have no time to use them. But I'm keeping all the wool!

Edit: How do I get it to show the pic in the thread, rather than a clickable link? I thought I was choosing the correct link from photobucket...

Edit 2: OK hopefully everyone's seen the pic now, but I'm not leaving it up as the house is on the market due to privacy concerns. Any other regulars who want to see it, PM me!

Alex, instead of inserting a link, click on the mountain landscape icon and paste your link in that

I can see the pic. That snippet of your home looks very clean and chic, (lir looks around slightly embarrassed) :).

I did the same thing, Lir!

That's one of the agent's pics, we did weeks of clearing and tidying before the house went on the market :rotfl::rotfl:My normal state of affairs is quite cluttered because I barricade myself in with "stuff" to try and keep the aggravations of two 20-something people out!

There is a house I have had my eye on for a few months, it's recently had its asking price slashed. Please someone agree with me, if it's meant to be ours it'll all fall into place!

Hehe. Me too. The dreaming is a lot easier than the real thing but I've kept my eye open for what else is up for sale in the locations we like and there's been nothing in the year since we bought this place that we'd rather have bought. Even in a higher price bracket, which is gratifying....

We set our eye opn several places and were pretty sure on another when we saw this and dh fell in love with it. It may be this one Alex, it may be another, but you will make the eventual one the right one. :)

Oh I know, nothing happens until we get a sale! It's just interesting to look at. And DH is going on tonight about how much I'll miss the space of this house, which I probably will. But when you can step outside and have the feeling of space around you, it's not so bad. Would I have another period property? Possibly, but the outside space would need to be right.
