Hope everything pans out for you CTC. I've been quiet on here, don't feel I've much to contribute but still an avid reader.

just tell us gossip.......we are easily pleased !;) :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Sorry to hear about your folks' old dog, alfie. I totally agree with their philosophy of not prolonging things. It's all too easy to mistake kindness for selfishness on these sort of occasions.

We've had some light drizzle & the sky over the hills looks a bit iffy but not too bad a day at all.

Life's too short for practically any hassle, CTC.
If you have the opportunity to turn around & say "S*d it all" then I'd say do it.

A while ago someone (sorry I've forgotten who) was asking about ponies which could be ridden by adults & I put forward the Exmoor. Well, for whoever it was :o & for the other horsey folk I thought you might appreciate seeing this although it is 11 minutes long so settle down with a favourite drink ..... & biskwit
  • ITSME I think it was Alex that was asking abotu the ponies

sadly no cuppa and biscwit:o as I am in work.... the cuppa just dont taste the same in work:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your parents dog... heartbreaking...
Work to live= not live to work
  • I am now on my way home, the cuppa is calling me:D

    so is my hot bath..

:D Dave. You grew up in Devon. You should know that every year is dreckly.
It's part of the laid back life that people want to move down to share but so often drives them mad when they're here :rotfl:

When I was up north, we used to refer to Skye-time. Someone local referred to a gaelic word which expressed the local attitude to time.

We asked for a translation. "Well you know about manana? Well it means "sometime after manana"."

    PS love the exmoor video.

It was only when I was at one of the local shows that I realised how big some of the large mountain and moorland breeds were! The only Exmoor was a young animal not full grown; things were a bit thin on the ground as the weather was dreadful (one of the flooding days).
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Errrr.... It was only on Tuesday that I collected about 25 acorns from an evergreen Holm Oak in the riverside park at Barnstaple.:D

Apparently, they aren't that easy to germinate, but you know me! :)

Not sure what our own 'normal' oaks are doing. :o

:D Sometime after manana describes it perfectly.

I think a full-grown Exmoor can be up to 50ins or so. The males being allowed a little more height than the ladies.
