    OOOer!

Just call me Obadiah Binks :D

Ate a shop bought egg today, yolk was almost colourless. Chooks prob wont start laying again until late winter/early Spring :( Even though they're having special soft fruit treats :o

Spent an hour today trying to get my 2004 HP TMA scanner to work with my Windows OS (Vista). No joy :( Then had brainwave, old laptop has Windows 2000, installed software, got TMA scanner working only to find it wont handle the 6 x 6cm negatives. Finally decided enough is enough, I've spent days on these 100 or so negs so they'll be listed tonite in two lots with carp images.

Went out with lawnmower tyre repair late p.m. and DW insisted I come and see the "poor sheep" marooned on a tiny strip of land down in the valley. Somehow ended up at Umberleigh, where my reasonably- trained eye detected no signs that the Taw had dropped at all over the day; indeed, it could still have been rising.

There's a family at Umberleigh who've recently bought a prominent, but not very private riverside house. They've set about living the Good Life, adding vegetable plot, trees, chickens, greenhouse and goodness knows what to their field, much to the chagrin of locals, who think they might lose their river view in time, when those trees grow a bit. Well, tonight, the field is part of the river.......

[STRIKE]No. It's not "poor sheep" singular, it's two lots of sheep, but out in the middle and too far for the farmer to risk getting them back, I think.[/STRIKE]

Yes, I'm sure it will be just fine.

The oil has already been delivered. All the "fun" was prior to last weekend. I just didn't bother mentioning it before - apart from to rhiw when we shared a grrrr moment :D
  • News on heating...definitely none until next week, wednesday or Thursday.

Amazing how they know when the mud (which was the original problem) will be gone by, eh, LIR?
Do you get the feeling that, while CTC is enjoying eating her porkies, you're being told a few?

The bits are here here now. The electrics have to be changed, so it's which day the electrics can be done. Plus, I want it done on the now rare days when my wonderful, wonderful builders are here too. I trust them, and I want peoe I trust here when it's turned on because there will be leaks etc and I want competant people on site.

But yes, I think I have been lied to. The builder actually wants this system and was keen to buy through the same company initially, now is sure he will not.
