Just catching up by reading properly....
Loved the post about your DD, rhiwfield. I feel the same about my eldest, who does something worthwhile too. Saves lives in a different way.
Not so sure about my other DD, who when she's in student mode, works very hard at things like.....making clothes for trees!:rotfl:Well, it's yer actual Fine Art, innit? Us mere mortals wouldn't really get it.
Last year she 'adopted' a tree in a Bournemouth park for a long term project, only to find this year that it had been condemned....:rotfl:.....All credit to her though, she got in touch with the tree surgeons, and when they felled it a fortnight ago, they took it to her college and re-erected some of it in the studio.:A
For the sake of balance, I ought to add that she's also a power sales person for an international fashion brand, so if tree clothes don't exactly take off, big-time, she won't starve.(Dad's influence: Always have a Plan B!)

Sorry to hear there are problems, lir.
Sometimes it seems like nothing runs smoothly.
Hunted around for something to, hopefully, cheer you a little. It's Chocolate Week in Belgium & I found this :j
Sort of makes :EasterBun look pathetic, eh?0 -

ladies and gentlemen, we apologise for the delay in the daydreamers trains arrival, it would appear that the wheels have been eaten. We will resume normal service as soon as we have wrestled the engine from someone called "lir"........0 -
