im selling an old shop cabinet/drawer thing which has allsorts living in the drawers ! its tatty to say the least....got LOADS of watchers... i was gonna burn it :rotfl::rotfl:

im on a roll and my parents had better not visit this week or i will sell em ...:rotfl::rotfl:
its been very dark this afternoon, i cant adjust to the early dark evenings....:(
    pidgeon still not left yet...:o

That load of drawers should sell very well.

Its the kind of thing that does well at auction.

If it doesnt have worm I'd say so, listing implies it does.

    Listings?

If it stands still, sell it.

If it moves, wait 'til it stands still :D

Been steady with us and there's nowt left to list, though we've a big pile consigned to auction.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Don't let their go alFie, so long as it is safe with the meat eating critters about.

I have to confess I am not keen on pheasant (and we get them gifted too!), but if it's just gutting and plucking you don't like and you have some when you next visit I am sure my dh will do them for you Alfie.

Otherwise....you can avoid all that by just cutting out the breast meat and bishing or animoging the carcass. ;). I don't feed anything untucked to my lot......they are not bright enough to think there is a difference between that and a chicken.

I think what we can conclude is that it's an odd world where people like shooting more animals than they can eat.

Pheasants in Aga, fire lit, dinner on and it's not even 6pm! I can't get used to these dark afternoons either, alfie. No blooming time to get going properly at anything. :(

I've done little bits of many things today, and when it comes to fighting with blackthorn thickets, an hour is enough. My fingers are all tingly from the nettles, but the thorn didn't get me.:p The dog rose did though! Got it caught on my head. That'll teach me to leave my beanie behind....

    I'm rambling......:o

The pork was Pete's, CTC. I think he's changed breed, because the meat is notably better this time. One day, when we have the time, it'll be special piggies for us, even if there's bound to be more fat. Nom, nom, nom, just thinking about it! food-smiley-016.gif

Pheasant is very 'gamey,' so much stronger in flavour than chicken. I can manage them once in a while, as can DW, but I've a horrible feeling we might not keep up with the supply. :o

These pheasants were peculiar in their colouring, with the female being brighter & more strongly marked than usual, and the male being almost drab in comparison. Not your standard birds anyway.

No piggies next spring. :( Too much going on, hopefully, and maybe no enclosure ready either. Pete has a few jobs in front of that to do.

And Alex, we forgot to go :j:j:jafter yesterday's post where you said you'd soon be starting the big quest for the Daydream . You will fill us in on all the ones you visit, won't you?

You can be sure of it! :jThere are properties on the market I have my eye on, but I won't get too excited until we're on the market as I don't know what we're going to be valued at yet. DH wants 5 agents in to give their opinion!

Alex, all this to come :D

Yes :rotfl:but I'm learning a lot from everyone else here. Like what's practical or not, what costs a lot of money... and I'm learning my own limitations. Realistically I think we will do without large livestock (although I may insist on piggies) and anything more than 3 acres will be too much for me to do anything with by myself even if most of it was down to permanent pasture or woodland. I don't much like having to compromise but I need my sensible hat on.

Work is still hell, I'd love to jack it in tonight. I had a few tears quietly while there today. Only a lottery win will save me while I still have CC debt but anyone that reads my sig will see I'm doing ok on that front now. It took the compensation from the accident to clobber it, but...
