good luck with the auction on saturday:beer:
everyone must have been tucked up in bed last night:rotfl:
free listing weekend again this weekend, and I had an email saying there is free listing for business sellers too.. Think it was between 22 - 26th october...
ordered metal ear tags for pigs yesturday...and the applicator thing:eek:
Itsme.... there is allready a metal year tag in their ear... I am sure the abotoir said we have to remove it, and put our one in... do you know how to get them out.. they are sooooooooooooo tight on the ear, you cant get them off:mad:
I am going to phone them today to see if we can keep it on, and put ours in as well. Cant the tag be on any ear, or has it got to be on a certain side?
People that said they would have half a pig, are now only asking for tenderloin or chops:mad:
Looks like we will be eating pork every day:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -

The board was down. Martin couldn't start his generator. Said somebody had nicked his solenoid, or something.....;):rotfl:0 -
Comes to something when you measure the quality of life by absence of pain and injury.....
Okehampton buys are now in profit, with more to sell so we'll be off to another auction on Saturday
Glad that the injections are working.
As the years roll by, I'm ever more mindful of how lucky I am,
and I really do try to be careful. Unfortunately, the 'good' genes seem to only come packed with the 'careless' ones! :rotfl:
See, Devon wasn't that bad.
I'm on apple harvest ATM. We have a reasonable amount, despite the weather. About half the trees have nothing at all, but the others have been fine.
Understand the problem with the pork, CTC. It's like eggs; the customers can't just have brown ones! :mad:0 -
And did the earth move for our Devon dwellers last night?0

Too far from here, but there was a lot of high level fighter aircraft activity yesterday. That's preferable to the low level chases they have, which can get pretty hairy.0 -
Ctc, when are you plannning on taking them for the pork chop? Might it be people are already store pitched for winter? ( fuel costs, Christmas etc)?0

lir, how is your dog today?? Did you find out what spooked him/her??
Dave, how many apple trees do you have & what variety are they?? I'd love to have a mini orchard in future ~ apples & plums I think.
CTC, _pale_ on taking piggy to abbatoir. I couldn't do it.'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -

No, I don't know what spooked her, doubt I will. They are bored and fractious though.
Builder is on the final push to get out of here, another couple of weeks? I am ready now. I want my routine back now I am feeling better and the mud is just overwhelming.
I also forgot to order any woodpellets for the new boiler (arriving next week!) so might buy a small number from mole valley to have a test run with it.0 -
