The weather was surreal here today kept swinging between sunshine, rain and snow :eek:

My lavender hedge arrived today, it is teeny tiny with all 72 plants fitting into an A4 size pocket :rotfl:

The backlog of things to be planted is really building up :eek:

All this talk of veg/seeds and plants... is making me think i need to get my butt into gear..:cool:

Maybe that is where our rhiwie is.... busy planting/ebaying/auctioning...

As you can see i cant sleep again....

New truss in!



The white thing across the top of the picture is the old truss which the new one has been built to mirror. The old one will be cleaned up then both will be having a light wash. Deciding what wood finish to have was tricy. The old truss is only victorian, and not characterful wood, and does not lok as chunky as it is over head. I thought very seriously about painting all the timber that will be exposed (not much) but feel a wash is a decent copmpromise that will leave character against a painted and newly plastered ceiling.

I think i have also decided not to plaster the internal end wall you can see there but rather to have painted brick. Not that keen on exposed brick colour brick, but painted brick leaves some character....do you think?
