    I've been Money Tipped!
Yep, i think i might have to take the little bodies to the vet tomorrow for a post mortem.

The snow balls were all in a house together in our front garden, fairly small run, because i had decided they were too tiny to leave out. They had been in there for only about ten days.

RAS, wherever you are, I got the sharks and all your detailed info, safe & sound! :j:beer:

Many thanks....at least I have the space to give them freedom to explore & expand!:D DW was very interested, and we do need things that keep well.

For the rest of you, these sharks don't look like fish or swim. For many, they'd probably be a bit more than you'd want on your plot, like pumpkins. ;)
Shark fin melons? I've been after some seeds for those.... :p

Will it never end? Now my snowballs are in trouble. One girl dead, the other keeling over. The boys are fine.......have put alive girl inside in the dark and quiet and will hope...

I just can't work out what is wrong. The one still alive looks........drunk. fine this morning, and indeed earlier this afternoon.
That doesn't sound good, something outside my experience.

    Found this.

I would agree with you, vets is definitely a good idea and start taking isolation and disenfectant proceedures between the poultry, as a precaution I would suggest.

First thing I thought of, is have they eaten something that doesn't agree with them. If you can move them easily, it may be worth your while doing so. Maybe take the opportunity to move them further away from the rest.

I'll be crossing my fingers for you. x

I've hatched eggs after they've been in the fridge for a while, so I wouldn't have thought that's a problem. But I suppose it depends how cold they got? I honestly don't know the answer to that one.

But from what I've just read (I was interested :D) if they freeze, it's over and you should let them come up to room temp before putting in the incubator.

    Apoplexy?
No, seriously, it can be due to high feeding (or some say over-laying).

:D Even devon voodoo needs a decent temperature to incubate eggs, CTC.
Is there nobody local who will let you grab a few eggs out from under their broody?
