i cannot believe the weather !!! did all of you send the rain this way ? as a devious way of preventing me from viewing heavy hoss's
I think most of us will have it today. We were going to get the chickens today, but I've called it off, no point trying to pick a decent one, when they are all bedraggled, sitting together under the hen house.

I didn't see it, but I saw the aftermath of a guy putting a 6 inch nail through his knee cap when I was an apprentice, using one of those big nail guns. It wasn't pretty :o
Maybe you have a point, i might be safer with a hammer.... :p

Well, we just use the wee versions of fencing staples hammered in and they seem OK. Slower than a staple gun thing though.

Edit :Oops, just seen others saying the same thing! Why do I read this board backwards? :o

What giant spiky things? Gorse? Hawthorn? Brambles? Blackthorn? Thistles? Cardoons? I really want a cardoon, but not sure we have enuff space without digging up the lawn! ;)

HAIL here. And wind. We drove to the beach, but ate our butties from inside the van as the weather was, as the toddlers say, "no like it!".

Parquet floor... We have a lot of it up at the bungalow but want to lay underfloor heating so it has to come up. Anyone have a view on whether it's worth relaying? At £70 per metre square for flooring plus labour, as we've rather a lit of floor, I'm thinking the sums may add up.
