Davesnave.... I personally think people can go ott when it comes to the 'big day'

Piddling it down here.... this weather is enough to make a saint swear:rotfl:

The bills aren't all in yet, but this wedding was, way, way below usual costs, thanks to eBay, friends bringing their skills for free and much DIY. DW and DD are very accomplished multitaskers who push everything to the limits, but it scares the hell out of me!:eek::eek:

The bride and bridesmaids were all dressed on the Bay, the venue costs were very reasonable, the photographer was a friend, as was the disco/lightshow....etc etc.

For the main wedding, the hotel, church and reception rooms were all within 100m of each other too, so before this 'weather' started, it looked sensible planning to just walk to & from the registry office & church. However someone was looking out for us, because on both days the weather was fine at the crucial times, and we even strolled in sunshine to the church on Saturday! :):):):)

Here's a piccie from the Registry office wedding on Friday 13th...

I've put a better, more natural picture here, now I've woken up!

your DD is a natural beauty, looks georgous.....and looking so relaxed.....

I wanted to get married in a registry office and then go to the pub for a piddle up:D but i got talked around to have a chapel wedding, they thought as hubby had been married before and had the whole shabang, that it wouldnt be fair on me to have a low key affair... so it did sort of snowball.... but it ws kept small, in the night we had 5 bands playing ( all of hubby's mates so all free) people were talking about our wedding night party for year:D:rotfl:

If We had to do it all again i think i would still opt for the registry and pub option though

Should have seen her an hour or so before that ,when we had 30 minutes to do the 21 miles to Tiverton, park on Market Day and get to the RO!:o:rotfl:

We were a bit more organised the next day, at the 'real' wedding. Almost early. :D
