I wouldnt be suprised in the future that you will have to take out extra medical insurance, and save for your retirement..as there will be no state pension and free medical care will be ltd...
If you think about it, they have done it with dentists.... a few years ago i could not get a NHS dentist, and i was so desperate i had to join a private dental plan...
It might not happen in time for when i retire, but i wouldnt be suprised if our kids will have to start saving etc...
Alfie....will be thinking of you today..and well done on the trs on ebay:T
I am hoping that the little black number:D will sell well:p
2 vans are off the road now.... starting motor with the van that just had a new back axel, and my van there is something wrong with the steering, bushes??? basically more flipping money going out, unexpectantly:mad:
So it looks as though i really do need to get business ebay account selling wellWork to live= not live to work0 -
Davesnave, your DD and DSiL look lovely, it's such a natural picture. None of mine from last year are quite as good as that
LIR, hope you get some useful information about why it happened soon, it's not nice to worry about things like that. I had a scintillating scotoma migraine once, I'd have panicked if I hadn't known what it was from when my DH has had a couple in the past. Scary stuff!
Alfie, take care of yourself. Best of luck for today - you've probably already left, but I'll be thinking of you.
I'm off work today, my kitty has to go to the vet and have a couple of teeth out. We don't know how old he is precisely, so he's not insured and it's going to be expensive. Poor thing, he doesn't understand why he's not been allowed any breakfast and I feel very very mean
Take care everyone!"...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
Alfie, fingers crossed
......or is that the right expression in the circumstances????
I have a NHS dentist, who made a hash of the first NHS filling I've had in 35 years,. When I went in again a few weeks ago and grumbled, he intended to charge to do it again, until the dental nurse gently pointed out that all NHS work is guaranteed for a year. :T It's sorted now.
Sorry to hear about your van woes CTC. Ours is due its MoT and there will be work involved with that, I fear. We'll sell it soon, unless I can dream up another good reason for keeping it. :(We won't half miss having something the size of a shed on wheels, though!
Our Planning Permission has been granted, without any special conditions.:D:D:D I guess the new guy who wasn't keen was out-voted by others, who'd remember the advice they were giving out a few years ago. Besides, there's no one who's going to have their view etc severely altered by the proposed changes. Next step is to see if we can afford it....or rather, if it would be sensible to do it, assuming we can.0 -
