Davesnave - great news about the PP!
Lir - look after yourself today, I hope it goes well.
Alfie - don't try and do too much, your poor hand needs time to heal...

Well Fudge (the cat) ended up having to have 3 teeth out, one each side at the back in his top jaw and one little one middle bottom. He's mostly fine now but he wasn't a happy soul when he got home at 6:30 yesterday evening. He yawned at one point and I got to see what they'd done, which brought tears to my eyes because it still looked so raw. He has anti-inflammatory liquid to go in his food and we go back in a week for the nurse to check his recovery.

Today he's purring like normal but is still a bit subdued, but he's getting lots of fuss and love so I think he'll be alright. I just wish I could stay at home today and keep him company but I'll have to let DH do that.

I've heard the weather is to change a little towards the end of the week, hope it does!

glad fudge is ok:beer: its like us when we have teeth out for a day or two after its still painfull ( sometimes more than the actual toothache) but then the pain/ache goes.. so i should imagine fudge will be right as rain ( that bloody word gets everywhere) soon..

I seen on the news. not only is the weather hitting our crops here, but in America too:eek: they are having a major draught...and the news said that they have lost approx half their crops..which the reporter said will have an effect on food prices over here...:o so basically a double whammy on the food prices..fruit/veg, grain..

Yes, this is going to hit govt inflation targets eventually. :(

Give fudge a nice, warm, milky breakfast (biscwit optional!) :)

I thin I can remember ( or did I dream it?) seeing on tv the bank of England guy saying it will take 1o years to fully recover from this mess the banks have caused...now i dont know whether they mean 10 years from the start or from last year, but what do you guys think? will it get any better? or will we just get used to it, which will give us a sense its getting better?

We know our Rhiwie has been forward thinking by having solar panels etc to try and cut the cost of living in the future, but without spending big bucks now, how can we as dreamers and land owners:D:Aprepare for the future?

Our friends just came back from greece, and they were saying it is worse out there than the media are reporting...

We cant even guarentee to grow our own food, especially if we get these bloody wet summers:eek:

Sorry just in a sort of deep 'worry about the future' sort of mood this morning' ( you can see what i have been thinking about all night)

    so scary.....
