The yellow thing appeared and it was dry all day.

In the garden most of day, paths relaid with free wood chippings, dpm used to cover under fruit trees and as suppressant for beds I havent planted this year.

Lots of weeding and tidying and trhe garden is just looking a bit better.

Very limited productivity this year, though it was nice to see GS1 snacking on the raspberries and the 3 GDs filling a container with ripe toms, before getting chooks eggs from the nest box.

After that, what better way to relax (?!) than to empty a table covered in fresh baked scones, whipped cream, home made jam, strawberries and choccy biccies. Even 1 yo birthday boy (GS2) was stuffing his face :D

    Summers here :T:T:T

glad fudge is ok:beer: its like us when we have teeth out for a day or two after its still painfull ( sometimes more than the actual toothache) but then the pain/ache goes.. so i should imagine fudge will be right as rain ( that bloody word gets everywhere) soon..

Thanks CTC, he's eating a huge amount - I reckon he thinks every meal may be his last after the starvation Monday/Tuesday poor thing! He's still sleeping a lot but that's expected.
Poor fudge. I missread daves message as give him a nice milky breastfeed.

:rotfl::rotfl:That really made me laugh, Lir. His teeth are too sharp and I'm past child-rearing age so that's a no-go. DH did give him a saucer of gold top last night though as a treat! When he's awake he seems his normal self, so I think it'll be nearly a full recovery by the weekend. He's still on no biscuits though.

There's been a little yellow thing here today but also some of the wet stuff. Hoping for a better weekend!

Hugs to Lir and Alfie, look after yourselves dears *hugs*

Take care all and enjoy the warmth if you have it!

I think it was cut down in its prime....:D

Actually, it's no good asking me, because by that time I'd had one or two jars of XTC left over from the wedding.... :o

We had the blue stuff yesterday and back to rain overnight. Dry now but still overcast.

I cannot believe that we are predicted three dry days this weekend. Need to garden but have to bee-keep as well.

Our new colony (from a swarm this year) has swarmed twice in the last few days. That should not happen. Sorted now but we need to check the other colonies.

The good news is that the colony that was queen-less have responded to our attempts to re-queen them and have a laying queen.:j

The bad news is that the fiesty lot are as fiesty as ever. Really need to double glove and make sure no one is around when we go into them.

So I am currently hosting a virgin queen who hatched from the swarming colony yesterday in my back bedroom (in a container in a sock to keep her and her chums happy) and we are going to try and raise a colony with this queen. Then we will give her all the brood from the fiesty lot to raise to boost her production of new calmer bees.

    We hope.......................:)

do i need to do anything re the bees in my window sill ? not that i can get to them BUT will they survive ? will they move on/sort em selves out/ split the colony....im clueless...:o
they are really busy in the garden at the mo...well happy with the sun....:D
