Well, everything we usua
Ly have downstairs is now in two rooms. Two rooms packed floor to ceiling.
We found popcorn that supposedly went off before we met, let alone married (that has probably come from my mothers house though). The dogs thought moving their sofas was extraordinarily exciting, and we just sat with them on their stinky sofabeds to watch tv so that they settle tonight.
So tomorrow wreck-storation phase one begins. I am both excited and scared. I am looking forward to heating and to more ease and less fear about the structure of that end of the house, and getting some proper garden in over winter, but i am going to miss the adventure of camping and the thrill of living how many would not. In a sort of joyous delapidation. Not the wrevk will be complete, or even the rooms we are working on finished, but it should be less draughty, heated and just needing deoration, flooring and fittngs.
My dad offered to buy us a dishwasher gor the temporary kitchen next week and tbh i felt a bit horrified at the return to normal domesticity that is implied by all this.
Meanwhile....one of my horsey clients has decided two put her horse in foal, so we will have foaly feet pattering the year next, and i am losing one client (divorce) but probably gaining two in te next month or so. Dh is saying he would like to keep a pot aside to buy a mare for us soon, which we could also pop in foal at the same time as the livery...not sure myself, been there done that a lot, and....sonethingreassuring about buying the horse you se than the flask o sperm with prospects....lol.
IM SURE IT WILL BE HOMELY IN YOUR OWN WAY...CANT SEE EITHER OF YOU CONFORMING TO DOMESTIC BLISS IN A BORING WAY....:rotfl:
im putting my plans on hold till i know more...:(
ive decided to put ruby in foal next year.:D
we have just bought the last loan/keeping as a favour, mini as the lady asked for her back.. we knew she would somewhen but still we both went  when she did.... shes OURS now tho....
L has got a puppy too now , so im looking after/keeping an eye on her aswell as her sons two ...:D i arrived at L's and spotted newspaper by the patio doors, saw L's silly face and guessed....
meet PEGGY...:D0 -
Sorry for the sodden folks down yonder - hope things dry out soon. It sounds awful in Devon & other places.
The man who came from Skye to the meeting was moaning that things are too dry.
We have had rain this weekend which allowed me to get listing on the bay as Alfie calls it. Well I would of listed more if the batteries in the camera didn't pack up. Cheap rechargables that have been charged twice only - £6 they cost so not that cheap, but that is bad.
Was eaten with cleggs on Thurs & a nasty tick bite that looked a bit eekkkkkkkkk, but seems more settled & less likely to be Lyme's than I first thought - goodness it's a worry a so many people get it here.
The meeting was all a bit 'we'll take all that on board,' type of thing where folk's concerns were listened to sympathetically but you do doubt that things will improve - saw nasty neighbours there...........phewwwwwwwww.
I must try & get some fruit picked tomorrow & get on outdoors if it isn't too midgied.
Feel that I'm going backwards somewhat.0 -

alfie - Many years ago my uncle brought home some carved walrus ivory from Russia which looked very similar. I have a necklace/pendant which is Kholmogory, I believe.
Peggy rocks
Good luck on the start of work, LIR.0 -
Alf, if it is ivory then it wont be allowed on Ebay0

Could be bone carvings rather than ivory:
