Yes, and knowing what it's like around here, nothing I had in there would stay a secret very long!
On the subject of noise, I was up at the other end today with the brushcutter, still minus its silencer.....Despite the weather, all the orchards, the wee paddock and our 'lawns' have all been cut within the last 7 days, some of them twice. Can't you tell we'll be having visitors at the weekend! :A
I'd like to see the Farm Fixers tell Pete to diversify! How many are there like him now who have cattle, sheep and pigs, grow their own cereals & mangels, make hay and work either on a digger or with a chain saw for a couple of days a week as well? :rotfl:
On the subject of mushrooms, I'm keeping my eye out for the first puffball, but with all this long grass, I may well miss any that come up, like I did last year.0 -

Yes, I find it hard to believe that there are many farms which don't diversify in several ways already.
Most would have gone out of business donkeys years ago if they hadn't.
We missed all the real heavy weather. It's just been the normal grey, damp weather which we've come to know & hate :rotfl:
A friend from further over toward Exeter got turfed out of their home in the early hours of Saturday morning - flooded to 2ft deep.
We have had some weak sunshine - with mist - but it's still cold. The temperature can't be higher than mid-teens, if that.
However, the mist has made everywhere wet so it was yet another day watching grass & weeds grow.
It's even getting hard to see the rabbits. We sort of know where they are from the movement in the grass :rotfl:0 -

Diverisfication.....here we have a lot of big farms which are like anti doversification...even have contractors doing the 'farming'. Its an inductry of extremes these days, that is for sure. And of course, so much doversification is not agricultural.
I am alive...house still standing, but i am pretty tired tonight. Everything seems to be happening this week,..house, a friend in need, new paying guest arriving, going to the hospital, site meeting...and .....sure there is a long list of other stuff.0 -

Yes, but he wasn't here for much of the time.......:D
Dave is trying to spot puffballs because someone on another forum wants to cook one.
Last year we had three, but I failed to act fast enough with one of them and the other two went under the radar for a month or more before they were spotted.
It was a decent-ish day here today, Itsme. Tee shirt weather anyway.....:p Well, t-shirt & vest...:o0
