Lir has reported elswhere that she's OK. She's not really allowed to use a screen ATM though....

Hope you get your results soon. At least you're getting a second opinion, which suggests care & attention to detail. :)

Thanks for letting us know, Dave.

Is it for your back, alfie?

    Chase them alfie.

I am alive :j:j and the weird thing the other night was not setious ( occular migraine) but they found a new brain issue, as we thought. This one is called pappiloedema, and i don't know anything about it yet. I will probably be having another scan within a fortnight and the eye condultant was lovely.

I had something similar back in the winter & we decided it was too much staring at a computer screen. (Silent migrane)

Bright flashy lights and loss of vision, which I Googled before I couldn't see anything....It would have been really scary without instant research of the internet. :(

On the other hand, without the internet I might not have had it! :rotfl:

Hope the other thing turns out to be benign too. :)

    Fingers crossed Lir.

Had a mini disaster a week back. One of the linked water barrels gave way, full, and landed 6' down on the wildlife beds, tearing out the link to the other barrel and washing away a path! Happened during the night, but it looks as if it would have been spectacular to see

And once again, it's for what we are about to receive time. What a washout this summer is :(. Still, toms are starting to turn, we're having a bumper soft fruit crops and we're getting on top of the garden again, despite no show again from the guy I wanted to do some heavy stuff.

Ebay in reverse a bit, probably bought badly last week (will know in a couple of days) and committed the cardinal sin of buying blind at auction on a couple of ceramics. So seeing a few losses atm, not what we're used to :(

But bought some clocks, and the house now resounds to multiple tick-tocks and bongs. :D

Alf, will try to send you a parcel tomorrow.

I have a couple of things to ebay now....oil tank for example.

Not sure where to start. We have a temporary kitchen in, that is really nice cobbling togeter of existing stuff, and a temp shower over the bath (no hot water to kitchen or bathroom sinks any more.

i didnt know you COULD eat puffballs !! im sure i have em here...do you have a correct picture please...

Lovely fried with bacon, but they are quite meaty so you do not need a lot.

We (2) disposed on half a medium sized one. If you have one (or more) that are white when cut I would be inclined to share it round unless you are a large family as they do not keep long.

lir - I hope this proves to be OK.

In sodden Devon - can now see the other side of the valley.

The annoying thing is that yesterday afternoon and evening were lovely in Yorkshire and this morning was blue skies and little fluffy clouds. Weird after Tuesday when the Show was cancelled after another extreme downpour finally scuppered the car parking. Desparate for some of the exhibitors because they have lots of stock and no customers - some will probably fold altogether.

Had a meeting with Council yesterday to discuss planting fruit trees in amenity grounds. Yikes - like pushing an open door. Even advised which funding sources to chase and offered help writing bids! Fortunately the lead is someone else as this is the busy time of year.

Will know next week if the management support it. Since I meet the manager in another context, I think it will be supported.
