You're still running the wood burner! Blimey Dave, in the sunny south as well!

Only in the evenings. It was 19C in our house last night, so we're not overdoing it.

Of course, with this blooming computer throwing cold air about....!!! :rotfl:

I AM VERY WORRIED RE ROZEE.....has anyone heard from her ??

Rozee last posted on MSE two days ago, if that helps. :)

OK it wasn't here, but she was grumbling about BT, so perhaps her connection's been bad. ;)

Looks like weather will be wet, windy but not too much so. Still got the lashings on the coop but not really needed.

Just like the temptation to batten down the hatches with the weather, the economic weather has a similar impact. Its a strange feeling to consciously take greater financial risks at such a time instead of going uber frugal.

Working thru the piles of stuff, sorting out the wheat from the chaff. Got a letter yesterday to tell me that some "chaff" that I put into auction sold really well and made an unexpected profit :) Thats cleared out all my old stock and quids in too!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Lazystart so far. Cutup some of the wood that came down in the winds, but the chain saw needs more oil which we cannot find.

Next weekend will probably be the start of two weekends of room emtying for builders. Bet the sun ruddy comes out then when we don't have time to get to outside stuff done.

You lucky people burning all the time. We have only two barrows of seasoned wood left from winter, i am saving them for an emergency before trying to sort out wood order for the year ahead. Last night we watched a film while swaddled inthree layers of blankets and cats and dogs on the sofa.

LIR... we had some 'dreg ends of chopped up wood around the place, but we will burn anything, plallets, old furniture etc...

Basically if its free and it will burn, we will burn it, unless it has paint on it..

Hubby and I were talking about this the other night, about starting to get our winter wood sorted, before the Autumn when people start looking out for the free wood etc...

We are lucky in a way as we can store some in work..( need to sort out more space, so we can store more inside)

No give in the weather, does anyone know how long they have given this awfull weather?
