:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Davesnave... sorry ....but def...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Wasnt as funny but when we bought our new rotavator, and hubby started using it first, it just bounced and pulled hubby over the garden.... but thankfully he didnt leave go...
Powerfull things.. these garden machines can be:rotfl:
Hopefully Rozee will update us soon.....Work to live= not live to work0 -
dave......:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: oh the picture is vivid....:rotfl::rotfl:
yet again the dogs got worried when i suddenly burst out laughing and my son appeared thinking i was in distress...:rotfl::rotfl:
CTC........ditto re the rampant rotovator !! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
dave... it was a sit on mower wasnt it ??? just stay away from your poly tunnel....:eek:
miserable day here today, drizzle,drizzle ...oh and drizzle...
walked the track last night beside my house [gamekeepers track ] and there was 2 trees down opposite each other . so looked like the X factor was in town.just hope the keeper doesnt go down the track in the dark and wollop into them :eek: cant get him on the phone and no answer machine...:o
there are a lot of trees down here....:(0 -

No, it's this bloomin' great thing, but the picture makes it look small. It's 3' wide....
Anyway, today it had a flat tyre too. I'm not surprised, as we have many nasties under the grass here, thanks to the previous owner, who left so much stuff wherever it fell. :mad: We've nearly found all the baler twine there is to find, but nails and broken glass aren't so obvious.
One thing Pete taught me very early on, was not to have bonfires all over the place, and to restrict those in the fields to plain brushwood. Wherever old fence posts, beams etc are burned, there will be nails & staples.
Warmish here today, with fairly frequent drizzle. Made it easy to choose the activity: in the polytunnel potting-up all the toms into their final pots. Nowadays, I use big polythene bag pots, because they take the shape of the ground and don't fall over so easily. Very tedious job potting those though, so glad it's over.
Getting the remaining courgettes and squashes out too, between the showers, but they are hardly romping away this year..... Bijou peas are flowering though!0 -
oh boy! this "baying" can be tedious !!:rotfl:
i have just got in a right old muddle as to who ive invoiced
sorted it now. i wrap and write adresses then mark em when paid but i forgot what was in 2 boxes after i wrapped cos i got distracted ! a friend rang to say he fell off his push bike and has broken his collar bone ....:(
i had to unwrap one then i knew which was which....:rotfl:
im pooped !
my bed beckons ......:D
hope everyone has a peacefull night and a half decent tomorow0 -
My courgettes that i planted out up the new place have seemed to stop growing, and the same ones that are still in the green house have practically gone twice the size.....
runner beans are looking a bit battered, but they will come on later, my toms are looking carp.....so might have to see if i can find any grown on plants locally....
Went to see a pig breeder yesturday, that breeds the welsh breed pig....I was suprised how little space that they give them.... by all accounts he said you can have 20 sows in one acre:eek: that doesnt seem alot of space each..
going to chase up our holding number etc this week, and get a price for a jcb on a day rate etc to start tackling the remains of the old chicken sheds.... its a job thats got to be done, so whats the point in sitting round and just looking at them being over-grown with brambles etc....
It is suprising how much the 'hidden' things costs:o... have had a tree person there this week, cutting the deadwood etc off the trees which line our side of the lane, ( not to cause a health and safety issue with the public footpath) and to fell the HUGE conifer in the corner of the garden.... which even though didnt need doing now, would eventually need doing, so we got it done now......Work to live= not live to work0 -

When our Rozee comes back on line i think it might be worth someone getting a mobile no, only for emergancies, so maybe a text just to see if everything is ok
like LIR and Alfie have each other's details, so the likely hood of the two of them going awol:D is unlikely... so maybe having a 'buddy' partner purely so there is contact, just so we dont worry.. if that makes sense..
as i do worry if i dont hear/read from peeps on here,
Right off to watch the good life on gold plus 1:D:TWork to live= not live to work0 -

Alfie will tell you the chances of getting me on mobile are pretty slim, email is better for me...but i think it would be a cool idea.0 -

.....And I'm still here, despite being in the polytunnel during an amazing thunderstorm yesterday! :eek:
I figured the tunnel would act like a giant Faraday cage, so I felt safe enough, but the amount of rain falling kept me there anyway.
Later, we went out for a run up to Exmoor, where we were able to sit in the sunshine and watch a similar storm crossing the area where we live. Down there, the rivers & streams had turned to torrents, but up on the moor they were at normal levels. Quite an unusual set of conditions.
There's a strange round 'object' in one of my photos of the Jubilee beacon celebrations, hovering over the beacon itself....Unfortunately, I still haven't put a photo program on this computer, so I can't download it yet, but when I do, I'll post it. Yeah, I know, what a tease I am! :rotfl:
