We saw loads of donkey foals when we came to visit you last. Poor little things. Dams can delay for a bit in this weather, but there comes a time when they cannot postpone any longer:eek:

Hahaha, i have a handme down and so to bed quilt. I can remember how much it cost in the early nineties because i thought my mother had gone mad, while i stood in the shop in my uniform wondering what to do and if i should ask the shop to call my dad. Turns out it cost about a beds worth.

Since then my mother has had several dogs sleep on her bed, and some of the silk had to be repaired by putting a sort of trim or border across the top. But its mine now!!

..........Or me. I got on with concreting for the other threshold on the polytunnel today, if only so I can soon get the doors closed properly! Another day and that will be done, I hope. Need to get growing in there! :)

Slow news day here, but I was asked if I wanted to be in next year's Panto. I said I would, because I do little else for the village, and we can't even do the Fair this year. :( Last week we missed St George's Day bangers & mash, though to be fair, it wasn't held on the right day. :o

Speaking of the Panto, I don't remember how yours went in the end alfie. Maybe you said and I just don't remember....:o

I am holding out for this kitchtastic wonder

In all seriousness, i adore this colonial one and comfort myself over its ludicrous price by saying the period is all wrong for the wreck

I am think of getting a cheap pine bed and fake gold leafing it. But if we go chavtastic i want a solid back and canape top, so i can drill holes in the top and put led stars in. Its funny, sometimes i seem really like i have decent taste, but ultimately i love a bit of kitch.

    Hi all,

flipping weather:mad: I have been keeping my chooks in for as long as possible in this weather...

sadly we have lost our old blue splash cochin hen :o she was getting on a bit, we bought her as of a trio, the other female died a while ago.. so mr cochin c.o.c.k is on his own now.... think i might put one of the old birds in with him... to keep him company...

My luck has now seriously got to change....

Alfie.... thanks for the pm and the link:T def like their dewlaps:D... we bought some eggs on saturday so our little octagon 20 is full, dont want to fire up the others ( not yet anyway..lol) so once these eggs hatch ( or not, not having much luck with eggs hatching either) will get some, and see what happens...

Rozee just the heads up again.... ffairfach is on saturday...

Itsme and Davesnave... I am sure they have given you real bad weather for tomorrow, with thunder etc:eek: I hate thunder and lightening:eek:

Four poster. We need the warmth in winter:rotfl: Plan is that i will make interlined curtains for it so that even if its a small space there will always be a space we can get warm:D
