Oh Alfie you do make me smile! Where do you find all these wonderful things?
Things here are very tough at the moment and the garden has been thoroughly neglected which is praying on my mind. Just wish I had the pennies to pay someone to come and dig it over and plant the many many things waiting to go in. I had ordered loads of things before my circumstances changed and I am loath to watch them all die in their boxes.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Oh I don't know, I will ask about and see. It would be a huge help as I (understandably) don't have any time to spend on my garden and it is looking rough. I may ask hubbys friends to come round and help out.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

They would probably relish the opportunity to help in a practical way, certainly ask them.0 -

I have seen, preciuos few, arab saddles before, but also spent some time Studying things like tack through history and around the world.
One of my dreams in life would be to open a museum of saddlery and equipemnt, but money would never, ever allow it. For myself i would really like a bucket seat side saddle to try, you can get new ones made in s. america on ebay. I used to ride side saddle, but have to say it was never, ever my forte!
I am fasinatedby tack, both the craftsmanship, history and culture in it, and also where it handicaps the horse and sometimes the rider...whether thats poor modern design or the old side saddles where the women essentially sat totally sideways and were lead!
Thats one of my problems, interested in to many things, and the majority of them are expensive:o0 -
I don't think I'll ever be an antique detective.
I don't mean you're old by that.....0
