Yes Dave it was you and one of the links you gave me. Unfortunately LBS never responded to any of my emails.

Dementia creeping in, obviously! :oI may have found the link through another thread on this site.
Yes, LBS are not great on customer relations and their phone sales girls can be..err... brusque. Wouldn't last long in these parts!0 -
I was very impressed with their customer service.

Yes, the wind is getting slightly chillier each day here, too. The sun is lovely but you need to find somewhere sheltered if you're standing still for more than a couple of minutes.
I've been hearing a few lambs in the shed up the road. That time of the year is here again.
I'm still watching the pineapple mint. It's looking pretty pathetic. There's some really tiny new leaves but it doesn't look at all happy. Mind you, nor does my normal mint which was doing fine until the last cold snap ...........but the Spanish is looking very good. Strange.
Alfie - Did you want to me to look up that other machine? If so, I need that name.0 -

Things are growing like CRAZY around these parts. We've just spent a few days clearing out in the gardens. Apparently, the garden used to be an Open Garden at some stage , so what it coming through seems very nice. I know very littel about gardens, but it strikes me that there's not a lot of what you wouldn't want and much of what you would. There are very few creepy buttercups, nettles - although a few new shoots here and there - brambles, dandelions and there are loads of very pretty looking wild flowers some of which I recognise and others that I'll have to get my book out for. The garden is a patchwork of wild flowers already. I get the impression that in its day it's been really well tended. It hopefully won't need too much TLC to bring it back to a state of beauty, especially since I favour a, shall we say "natural" look, rather than a manicured place. Good job really.
The girls have spent the day playing in the dry ground - who needs a sandpit? I'm counting down the days til they are at nursery four mornings a week and i can at least get a bit done consistently. All 3 are off for two weeks now, so we'll get very little done and we've just had a set back to discover that our QS is in hospital having an unplanned bypass op and we're going to have to instruct someone else.....0 -
Thanks Alfie, I,ll try & put together the pallets this weekend now.

evening all....
HOT HOT HOT here....:D
i had to take son to the hosp this morning [he takes after me, being a grumpy moo before 9am !! ] as he has a problem with his eyes...poor vision and "floating objects". he went to our local hosp yesterday and they made app for him today at the general. BUT hes ok... he did that charity boxing match 2 weeks ago [fire v police] and i was worried it had damaged his sight but apparently not. he was also doing a dusty/fumey job at work so could have been anything.
im off to my mates tonight with a dvd [saving grace] and a bag of choc...:):)

Like this?
I have 'floaters'. They're a real drag. Your son has my sympathies. They either make what you are looking at blurred or are like something moving in your peripheral vision
Mine, though, have gradually come on with age so not sure what excuse your son has :rotfl:0
