There is a gateway at a cross roads near where we lived as children, which I always loved standing on then and in later years to look over the burgeoning green hills and woods. Verdant, fecund and exhilarating.

Not dissimilar to this view, and not too far away either.

My heart aches for northern dales and glens but I love the promise in a view like this.

    Lovely Dave.

Rozee - put in the Planning as it'll take a while - you can always go for amendments to Planning - get the ball rolling.

Weird weather - boiling hot last week then days of haze ( not helped with muir burning going on everywhere. Really cold wind & dreich half light, but nice & sunny today so I'm off out in the garden this afternoon - hopefully.

Been busy with stuff & managed a few day off in Inverness on a cheap Travel lodge offer - just on me tod, but great to do the city thing - felt refreshed after it.

Bought a massive art deco over mantle mirror that's truly wonderful but someone's painted it white over gilt - plan to re gold leaf it! Well, that's the plan!

My Dianthus[?] has survived & me Gunnera's back - or Gonnerhea as OH delight's in telling folks. And me Snake's head frittery thingamybobs are oot as well - daffs everywhere ,but they are tall & hens & wind (not mine CTC) but gales do them in a bit.

All is well in the North apart from falling onto a pile of dead hazel I was shifting to the fire pit & now being bruised & scratched black & blue - look like a victim...........

Glad you have managed to get a wee break and that the weather is a bit kinder.

For those bruises - do you have any comfrey? Wonderful for reducing the pain and discomfort but brings the colour out beautifully.

Bizarre here - much cooler this morning but the sun is shining now. So we will have had a full week of summer weather (I am in short sleeves) with temperatures due to drop to freezing at night next week.

    Nice view, Dave. :D

    Fingers crossed for everyone's planning.
Anyone on a NP, SSSI or AOB?

I wish we could start to put our Mk2 daydreams into action but .......
Actually, I've got to the point where I am heartily sick of the UK :(

I'm sure you're right LIR - we need to chill. I just don't relish the idea of Winter in that caravan. However, nice it is.

It was freezing here today. I had to change out of my floaty summer skirt and flip flops back into my fleece lined walking trousers and boots!

Gorgeous view, Dave. It's amazing what a raise of a few inches can do for you (IYKWIM!)

Feeling chuffed that I managed to buy a clearance shed in B&Q for £100 reduced from £349.
