we were ok, as there is a canal, and we are sort of in a bit of an island so to speak,
( i HAVE REMOVED THE LINK NOW)
The garages were still alite up until not so long ago, and there is huge amounts of smoke coming from the top of the building...
all the electric is off on the top road.....They have also closed off the road..
I really do hope they catch the tw@ts that started the fire..Hopefully with what has happened because of their stupidity they have cacked themselves into not doing stuff like this again..
My youngest has put a pic on facebook, but i cant seem to get a copy to put on here..
My heart really does go out to the families who live in the houses....Thankfully no one was hurt
I will remove the link later..Work to live= not live to work0 -

It's been a good day. We may not see the inside of it often enough but our local is fab a real community pub.0 -

:T:T great that youve had a "jolly"...see every thing is coming together for you all. me thinks you should relax and settle into your static and enjoy your surroundings and THEN get stuck in to all the gruesome stuff

"It's a bit early for fires," I thought, but reconsidering, there's lots of dead material after winter, so it makes sense. Glad you were safe, CTC.

We had to water all our outdoor potted plants for the first time today. Before, it's just been a few. Im sunburnt too, which has never happened in March before, I'm sure.
The weather has helped our garden groundworks, but we're not finished. We opened up a new heap in the field today, which was probably created when the barn was built. It was the same as before, with a layer of couch near the surface and an interior of good soil, liberally infused with stones and junk, like lengths of baler twine, old feed bags and plastics.
It's great to see the heaps going from the field, but we can't reduce them to nothing yet, as the last heap will be our big reject pile, composed mainly of couch grass.

Davesnave, we have had a few fires around the area now...
Have had the front door open most of the night for the dog to out, and you can smell the burned trees etc...
Lets hope they dont come back and lite the other half of the bank...as there are empty houses with unkept gardens there..
I have just got told by my youngest the garages are still smouldering.... They were lock-up garages, which one of them was owned by a car d.i.y'er so flip knows what was in there, and the other one used to be owned by an antique sort of dealer ( he moved away, so dont know if he still owns it)
oooo well it will be the talk of the villages today...
Got another appointment with the Solicitor today, as he wanted to see me regarding some 'conditions' that has come to
light:eek: Really hope its nothing serious, as I honestly couldnt cope with anymore bad luck...Had to tell some staff yesturday, that this would be their last week in work:o I think it was me that was nearly crying about it...As i know it might be hard for them to find another job, as they are both at each end of the working age group...and these groups of people are being hit the hardest in trying to get work
Cant remember if i said, it looks as though my chickens are now full steam ahead in laying... actually give some eggs to the nice neighbour, while we were watching the fire...
Just need the ducks to start laying now.... which i dont think will be long...
I have put a few things on my business ebay account, but i am restricted to only 10 a month:o, so will put some on my private account today.... I know its best to get them to finish on a weekend evening, but at the moment i just want to get my day organised, and in a routine of doing some listings..
oopps... sorry long post again...lol...
thanks for the pm's will answere them later..

Thanks, alfie, but I've done nothing to deserve it.
Dave - We have always stacked all the decent-ish stone in one area. It's 'come in' for all sorts of things from building retaining walls, buildings, surrounds for the bonfire patch, stands for pond baskets, drainage for pots, wedges for levelling up boxes, pots ....... & ladders when window cleaning
Never throw a decent stone away. How MSE is that?! :rotfl:
Hope you're all smoke-free soon, CTC. The fire was definitely arson then? It couldn't have been started by something like the sun through glass?0
