I'll just factor in the hour's sleep somewhere without really noticing :D
Its been a bit of a funny year as regards light, or maybe its just me. It felt like the short days of deep winter didn't last so long, that the afternoons in particurlar didn't draw in as early? Where as last summer seemed to not hit any truely long days to me......
My stupid chickens are still mainly going in before four oclock, though its light for a long time after.....
But hopefully the army at least has respect for time these days...i am hoping now its eleven they will stop firing up on the range, its been banging some tonight.....0 -
re clocks going back/forwards....
for all my life my DAD has ALWAYS every year told/telephoned me ,at 9pm to remind me to alter my clock and the following day asking me if i had remembered and done it. i do not know what dates i have to do it as ive relied on dear old dad to tell me......0 -

I think winter has seemed shorter this year (well, here at least) because the weather has been kinder. The last couple of years it seemed to go on forever because it started to so early.
I still look forward to some long, warm evenings that can be spent outside. We haven't had many of them in the last few years, either.
It's "funny" how it's the strange little things that pull you up short & remind you, isn't it, alfie? The clocks go forward on Sunday night. Say "Hi" to your Dad while your doing it so he knows you've remembered. :kisses3:0 -

No, not lambing this year as OH says we must get on with house plus I end up taking in a friends orpans & that's hard work! Love it though.
I'm taking stock as I have too many breeds - must hone back somewhat.0 -

Well, pick up the dog & bone to him & say "You've left it so long that Itsme thought you'd turned toes-up! Oh, & by the way, when do the clocks change, Dad?" :rotfl:0 -

I don't mind the clocks changing, so long as we carry on having relatively benign weather and it stays quietish.
Last year, it was incessant south east winds and bloody dog noise, so no wonder I'd developed a bit a of a jaundiced view of this place,. In fact, until around Christmas I was definitely planning an exit strategy.....
Looks like one of the buyers for our old garden may be having second thoughts. They made a special demand a week ago, and we said "No." Since then....nothing. The other 3 are still on board, though.

Spring 'forward'....... yep clocks go forward.. which just made me realise.. we have a vintage fair in Bristol Sunday, soooooooo not only do we need to get up early... we need to get up an extra hour early:eek: oooooooo pooooooop!
I will hopefully be putting a couple of things on the business ebay account today.. not much, and not too expensive, as it has zero feedback... so i want to get my feedback up on that account, but i was thinking of saying at the bottom of the listing about my private account, so they can see that feed back? will see...
At the moment it feels that time is dragging:rotfl:allways does when you are waiting for something, especially the keys to a new home:rotfl:
Really do need to take a few hours out, with peace and quiet and noone around to sit down and REALLY work out the financial implications of everything.... as I need to do 2 lots, one for work, and our home finances...
Had a home delivery from Asda last night ( had a free delivery code) spent £61 and to be honest there is s@d all to show for it.......
I expect the budget isnt going to be kind to us......:mad:Work to live= not live to work0 -
