  • I have taken the advise & ignored 5 letters ,initially 3 from G24 then 2 from ccscollect. The last one is now threatening "Recommendation to Litigate" If the intention is to avoid repayment of this debt, then our obligationto our client requires us to make one final request for payment before preparing your file and advising our client of our reccomendation to litigate, allowing them to commence any additional Civil Action they may choose to take. To avoid this,we are authorised to accept a DISCOUNTED PAYMENT AMOUNT of £45.50 if received before 26th april. If payment is not received, our client will seek repayment of the full outstanding sum. I am now abit worried ! Do I still ignore the letters.?

MamaHall please start your own thread otherwise it's totally confusing when one case gets mixed up with another. If you have ignored so far then the only realistic advice is to continue ignoring but for goodness sake don't ignore any real court papers.

Stop panicking, neither CCS Collect nor G24 ever try Court. Glad to see it's ONE OF the 'final requests' though! They'll leave you alone soon, IGNORE.

Not sure why you are so worried when it's just another standard one on the list:

So the next 'final demand' is going to be the last one, should get that soon then!

  • Well i got stung, and in fact i was damn well going nuts when i got their letter warning me that i had over stayed the 2 hr parking limit, Uhhh 2hr Parking limit what parking limit? This really made me angry given the fact that i cannot walk too fast because of a disability and i could not use any of the disabled parking bays if there were any as this was Black Friday and i could see that it was not going to be easy to find a place to park. I used a normal parking bay and not a disabled bay. Anyway as i pointed out in the letter i returned to them i cannot even recall seeing any signs but then i was more interested in paying attention to where i was going or rather other people where they were driving. I thought this to be a damn cheek knowing that i had spent probably around £270 between a number of retail shops there. I am going back there and i am going to tell each Manager in each store that i am never going to shop there again, but also have told friends and family do not go there. I am expected or told i have 2 hrs to do my shopping in? Well balls to them I was going to have a coffee and relax before i drove away from there and it looks like i should have. But please tell me is it ok for me to ignore these people G24? I did write to them in my defence but they have just written back saying after considering everything i have to pay up? Well i was going to to pay them and tell them what i thought of them, but then i saw this link after googling G24 Parking, Is it ok for me to ignore their letters also? Debt Collectors i am not worried about those. I still feel i have a good valid case against them. Can someone please advise? Thanks for a very interesting thread.. I hope more complain as i am going to.. Buisnesses cannot afford to pee off customers these days.

You do need to start a new thread of your own, as we work on the basis of 'one case, one thread' so advice doesn't become confused and/or we have a complete free for all with any number of random cases being tagged on.

But first of all you do need to read thoroughly the NEWBIES FAQS sticky at the top of the forum index (one page back from here) which will give all of the initial information you need. It was written by Coupon-mad, one of the country's most knowledgeable people in dealing with private parking tickets. You won't find anything more comprehensive than this anywhere online.

The sticky is detailed and you might need a couple of 'passes' to digest it, so bite sized chunks with a cup of tea over a couple days might be the best approach. You do need to make the effort to do some research via the sticky before asking for further help from regulars - we are so busy each day it's impossible to type and constantly repeat basic information - hence the sticky with all that stuff covered. But do come back after reading it if anything isn't clear to you.

BUT - via a new thread of your own please.

And please, put in a few paragraphs next time, as the wall of text you've used in the above post makes it almost impossible to properly get a real understanding of your problem.

  • I think that 2015 should be the year when we draw up a list of ppc's and debt recovery agents.
The list should include all relevant information as follows
Geographical trading address. (Where they actually work)
    Standard rate telephone number.
    Directors names.
    Directors addresses.

The government won't help because it makes them money
    The courts are a shambles.

Ppc's deal with us at our homes so let's deal with them at theirs. Compile the list

In case anyone is still following this thread, it's worth signposting to challengethefine.com (sorry, can't make it a link as I'm a 'new user'), a new campaign to mount a legal challenge against these private parking charges.

If you have been sent one of these demands, whether you paid up or not, then add your name to the campaign. I have.

Coverage at itv.com and Daily Mail if you google it (again, not able to post links - grrr.)

  • I have got home from work today to find a parking charge from G24 Ltd for 100 with an opportunity to reduce to 60 if paid within 14 days

My infraction allegedley happened on 11 march 2015 between 10.22 and 15.47 however the issue date on the fine is 18 march 2015 and i did not recieive it until 25 march 2015 which in effect gives me only 7 days to pay

i do not dispute being at the location on this day however i was there on 2 separate occasions in the same day never for more than an hour or so each time

I cannot find B24 on the BPA of approved operators and the system of complaint seems archaic.

has anyone on any of the previous threads ended up having to pay or is this a scam full stop. Aslo am i expected to pay and then appeal for my money back or if i appeal and the fine is still enforcable will i have to pay the higher levy instead of 60 quid
