  • I got a 'fine' for staying 15 mins over in a b and m in Chelmsford. I went to town and also went in to b and m got back to my car in plenty of time but at the time I had a 7 month old baby...he needed feeding and changing so I went over the time limit. I didn't know I had. today I got my 2nd letter after ignoring the first. I was a little worried about it but now I'm not after reading these posts!

  • I received a fine today from G24 re B&M Doncaster, and intend to do nothing. I had one before from a different company in 2012 from centertainment Sheffield. They red lettered me often, stopped for a long time, then a month ago I received a "we will let you off if you pay this discounted fine of __" ...ha ha :D Shredded. Nothing has ever happened, so G24 can join them in wasting ink and paper.

New thread of your own please, this belongs to someone else.
I want to ignore as quite frankly I don't have £800 to spend on tickets
The ostrich position won't make this go away, especially £800.
My friend is willing to help and to try and get them cancelled but any advice on what might happen if I do ignore?
They're complicit in this, so they need to share the burden of dealing with it. Ordinarily G24 don't pursue through the courts, especially for one-off tickets, but for multiple tickets, they might be tempted - and it will be a higher figure they will ask for if it does go to court - possibly a further £100 on top to cover filing fee, hearing fee and £50 (capped max) for solicitor fees.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Does any one have any experience with what happens if you ignore tickets from G24? I have been parking at Homebase as a friend put me 'on the approved list' for over a year.

I received a ticket on 24 June dated from 12 June for £60 now, £100 later. Something had obviously got awry from being on the approved list and stopped parking there immediately. However due to the 2 week delay, I then received more tickets as I didn't know I couldn't park there and now have 8 tickets.

I want to ignore as quite frankly I don't have £800 to spend on tickets but as I'm not actually a Homebase employee, I don't have much of a leg to stand on. My friend is willing to help and to try and get them cancelled but any advice on what might happen if I do ignore?

You really need to read today's threads, not old ones. :)

Nothing happens if you ignore G24 (at the moment). Never say never.
