He said it is deffo a unique barcode!
The voucher my friend just got for £2.31 has this barcode:
9228136675312852312318
You can see that on Helana's the barcode contains £9.99 - is that the cap or was it £10? On mine it has 231 twice.
I wonder what the rest of it means? The 92 at the start looks generic.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Please enter your Clubcard number.
What I'm saying is this - get a womble that has a clubcard used on it.
Input it with your own clubacrd - see if it says "computer says no" - I don't think it will.

I noticed the 999 in Helenas barcode I thought that was a £10 voucher though. Unless the cap isn't £10 and its £9.99 and they are not announcing that. Remember the self service tills only allow vouchers to a maximum of 9.99 also.
OH is at work I will email the barcodes over to him if you can give me your clubcard number too will get him to see if there is any clubcard info in there anywhere I know he is out of the office atm at a meeting but he should reply when he gets back!0 -

I dont know why people are getting so worried about this whole Clubcard thing. They redesigned the Price Checker/Price Promise website but nowhere does it mention your Clubcard. I never use my Clubcard when shopping with a voucher and always pay cash. That way Tesco does not know who I am. I rarely get asked for the receipt although I always have it with me and when they do ask for it they dont know what to do with it. In the last week I have had one receipt signed ( in the top right corner), one taken from me with the voucher, 1 where they asked to see the voucher and 2 where they did not even ask. Most of the staff don't even know what a Price Promise voucher is.
I think Tesco are a shower concerning these promotions and I will continue to take advantage of their generosity as long as possible.0 -

I have just tried and can confirm that you can enter any clubcard number. I entered the same receipt with 5 different culbcard numbers and each time I had no problems.
The only remaining issue is if the voucher is tied to the clubcard. I don't think this will be the case and the reason is this:
I spend other people's clubcard vouchers all the time. Family and friends and wobles. They have Mr this, Miss that, Mrs that on them and I use my own clubcard. I have never had a coupon rejected unless I didn't buy the product.
The final remaining question is do you get the cheapest price comparison or an overall?I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

So were they made up clubcard numbers or ones from wombles? I have had a look at the website and see you do have to enter a clubcard number so I stand corrected. I also went into my emails and relooked at one of my ones I got for the razors and from being a £19.00 voucher it is now a £10.00 voucher with a different barcode. All vouchers previously had the same barcode and they now all are different. I will be interested in seeing if the poster on here with a husband who can decode barcodes can come up with some more info.
Well if it is over then so be it. Just have to get more glitches instead.0 -

No I have real clubcard numbers for imaginary people. They were all correct. I hope you printed your £19 voucher so that it doesn't now say £10 - that would be a shame.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.
