Interesting. I've got a pile of discard receipts on my desk that might be worth another look.
What happens though if you do your shop, present your JTD and receipt at the till but dont have your clubcard to us for this transaction - can they then refuse to take your JTD voucher?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

They probably will refuse.
Although the T&C's dont state you have to use a clubcard to redeem a voucher, they state you need to be a clubcard member. That wont stop them making up rules and saying that you have to use a clubcard to redeem, you know what they're like.0 -
Might be worth printing the t&c's and keeping a copy on you to save the hassle of any of them trying to make up the rules as they go along.0

I have just phoned Tescos H.Q to clarify the new price checker and the answer they gave me is that the club card number on the receipt must be the same as what you have to input on the price checker form other wise it will not work. If no club card number on receipt you can input your number on form0

Can you please tell me how to use the new price promise if you have no clubcard? Are people without a clubcard now discriminated against?

Tesco Hi there,
We have made some changes for the better for our customers with the new price promise, from here on you will need a clubcard in order to register for the price promise.
Many thanks

Sara Ward Why should we give you our personal details just to be able to use your price promise. It was a service that was available to ALL your customers not just ones who will give you their info. You don't need my details, you don't need to data collect on what I buy. I'm entitled to my privacy. You don't see Asda demanding personal details of their customers for theirs. Looks like I will be shopping at Asda in future, may take me longer to get there but at least it will be cheaper in the long run! Tesco need to realise that not all their customers have clubcards and there is a reason for that. You are Tesco not Big Brother.
